I like this boat. I'm a big believer that bathroom and showerstall door should open "out", so if someone takes a fall the door doesn't get blocked with someone incapacitated inside. It's kind of a "building code" thing.
You'll see that the stern has gotten larger. Older fiberglass boats were made in the image of wood boats, which had structural elements designed around the strengths and weaknesses of wood.
Because prices scares people away but in reality the people buying these have a good estimate going into this thing to begin with normally by looking at used online first.
David Brown Because they are all embarrassed about the prices manufacturers charge before they put their own gigantic price markups on the boats they retail. Even groceries and gas is overpriced. What’s a person to do ?
Great walk around, was wondering what they were going to do with the new smaller Sun Odyssey boats, clearly they zapped the walk-around decks in favor of more aft cabin space, which makes perfect sense. Curious about that garage. is that as deep as the starbord aft cabin, as in, could you toss a random friend in there with a air mattress in a pinch for a couple days at catalina.? I notice it have the same "escape" hatch design as the starboard cabin.
Adam Juul You can purchase the motor and other necessities for around $150,000 plus installation. There are at least 3 companies that offer the complete electric setup. Check out google for electric boat motor companies. You might be able to get by around $100,000
Hi Can I ask what it's like manoeuvring under power on a Sun Odyssey 349 as these have a shaft drive, which is very far aft, and twin rudders. I would have thought that this configuration provided little possibility for prop wash effect. Thanks
So i own this boat and im having Trouble adjusting the Boose Sound system. Does anyone know how to adjust the Sound system? Im wondering if i Can Turn of the speakers in the cockpit, but have Them on in the saloon. If you have an possible solution please respond. Thank you.
would appreciate if they find a way to cover all of these ropes, if they improved the door of the main cabin. i don't see it necessary to have 2 wheels on board.
@@SOLDOZER true, i'm currently searching for a sailboat and then i'm going to Asia to take some sailing courses and then i'm sail the mediterranean and the red sea
Great channel and always great to see new product reviews. I have a ‘11 Beneteau Oceanis 34. There are many similarities although I hear Beneteau is more of a plastic fantastic production yacht than Jeanneau. Still, I like my boat and she sails like a dream. I do note that Jeanneau is making the fixed port lights larger, much like the Beneteau vessels. Does anyone have concerns about this trend?
@@ivtyachtsales Understand. But that would still be at a bad angle. Seems like the RPM panel would be better placed on the opposite side of where it is for better reading without moving. Just a thought. If I had a 34 I might even fix a mirror the same size as the gauge on that opposite side. It would be backwards but I could still see it at a glance.. Still like these new boats.
If I'm not mistaken Jeanneau now buids their boats with a structural liner like beneteau does.I've seen and heard of problems with this method of construction.I don't really trust it.
@@Kacy-pb3xz Wood cannot be made to like that, That is the grain of the wood itself. As a carpenter one picks only the best examples of wood when it will be seen on a constant basis. The poorer quality wood is used where looks are not that important. This is called " finish work" and the difference between a rough carpentry and a finish carpentry.
Ian, I think I'll send you a dictionary for Christmas. Please use it to look up adjectives to take the place of "nice". By the way, the word is REfrigerator, not fridgerator.
