WOW JEY,,, YOU MUST REALLY DISLIKE CARNIVAL. IT SEEMS LIKE CARNIVAL MUST HAVE REALLY HURT YOUR FEELINGS IN THE PAST, AND YOU JUST CAN'T LET IT GO NOR GET OVER IT. THE LOOK ON YOUR FACE WHILE YOU GAVE THIS INTERVIEW OR PRODUCED THIS VIDEO SAYS IT ALL. THE EYES DON'T LIE MY BROTHER. GET OVER IT... I STILL THINK YOU HAVE A GREAT CHANNEL AND YOU PRODUCE AWESOME VIDEOS. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
Subscribed! My mom just met you guys yesterday at the Vegas Airport and said she watches all the time. Thank you for taking the time to chat with her. That deserves a like and subscribe!😇👏
We just got off this ship. 13 of us and we all agree, so far its our favorite carnival ship. The ship was sold out but it sure didn't ever feel like 4k people on board. Never felt cramped. We are going again this Christmas.
Hey J. Yes Carnival had the unique over the top colorful decor back in the 90’s. I sailed the Venezia last July and compared to what you’re showing here , the Venezia was softer and prettier. Needless to say all their newer ships have better color schemes than the quirky colors of years past. Thanks for the peek and congrats to being invited to the naming ceremony 🤗
Italian cruise page here. We've been on the Costa Firenze, and it's amazing how Carnival changed it to make it more "fun". We would definitely like to try it out to see the differences😍
Among my closest ports, I think the new Italian shops do look great...a new version and mix of what carnival can and does do so well. I love the Queen Mary...I have never stayed overnight but have visited her twice and once when a group was having a serious....back in the day special dress required and you could walk around and see them arriving...people were seriously 20's ro 40's dressed and it was really fun to see them arrive...this was no armature situation...enjoy your vlog!! thanks for quick review.
So glad that this ship seems to be what I had really liked about cruise ships of the past. I will be sailing on her in July, and can’t wait to experience it for myself.
Booked for the August 24th, 2024, sailing. As platinum status and shareholder with Carnival, I 100% agree with your statement about the entertainment, however, the comedy clubs have never disappointed.
I agree with you Jay about Carnival needs to step up their game. The older ships look dark and dreary. They need to modernize their ships a little bit more however I love Carnival. I have know idea how they know everyone name when they first meet you throughout your entire stay. lol
My fiancé and I are getting married 8/5/24 and taking the Firenze to Mexico for a week for our honeymoon!!! Soooooooo excited our first time going to another country together and our first cruise!
Oh, By The Way, Celebration is way too big carrying just under 6000 passengers, it was a zoo nightmare. Add in several medical emergencies, diversions and fight, it is a ship will not sail nor its sister ships.
Hey there, we will be sailing out on May 16 so we shall see how it all goes. I think it will be enjoyable due to the ports of call. Hopefully you’re able to give it a chance 🎉
Wish you’d have got a chance to see some of the actual shows, what you saw was just a little thing arranged for the ceremony, the ships got 2 of the companies newest shows with a really talented cast!
Hi Justin, I have been on the Venezia, a couple of times. I do love the ship and feel that it’s a great size. And I agree with you about the Serenity Deck, it’s beautiful and does remind me of a Celebrity ship.
We just sailed with Firenze 2 weeks ago. It’s true that the Lido deck can be packed at times and the pools are full some times. It was a fun experience though. The bingo was fun but for $29 for 3x3 cards is a bit much. Guy’s burgers is a go to and I also enjoyed the pizza place. The most worth it experience of all is the hospitality of the crew and they’re very friendly.
I want to share that I was on the 1st cruise out of Long Beach California. On the 25th of April. I have got to share that the food on this cruise ship was Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Our last 2 cruises were so disappointing for us. Food was very bland. A lot of it didn’t look appetizing and we felt like the same dishes were being served over and over. Well, I want to say, that wasn’t the case on this cruise! I can’t wait to go again!!! On another note, they Definitely have the style of their own. Some of the ship seemed to be really elegant and beautiful and other parts were kinda dingy and maybe a lil outdated. But, overall we were very pleased and we will come again! Can’t wait!🎉
Sailing in October for my birthday. Wish Carnival had taken the opportunity to turn the 2 Costa ships to adult only. Hoping ALL the kids are in school when I cruise this fall.
@@SUNDAYTEN10Same wife Booked the ship for that same date as a surprise birthday present. Then couldn’t keep a secret and told me about it a year and half early.
Can’t wait for my Firenze cruise this summer. Agree with your opinion on the design. Looks like a beautiful ship and definitely more unique design wise than the newer ships, which while nicely done, are a bit bland. This is a good blend of unique style w/o the craziness of original. Farcus designs.
I totally agree with the entertainment portion of your review. Carnival could really step up in that area for sure. They could learn a little something from Royal Caribbean when it comes to providing good entertainment. That said ,Royal Caribbean could learn a few things from Carnival when it comes to using the app to help with the flow of crowd management. For example we experienced very long lines both for dinner and not being able to book any entertainment Because of a faulty app . Making us feel we didn’t get what we paid for in the end with Royal Caribbean. No perfect. Cruise line out there. Just sail what you like and live with the imperfections. Good review. Sailing this ship in September. Can’t wait!
Sailing Firenze in November. I agree it looks like in Lido area we'll be packed in like sardinces and also agree that I wish Carnival ships weren't all so similar to one another! There's good and bad to it. The layouts feel the same which makes it easier to get around but they really could use more individual character!
I just got back from staying at the Queen Mary!!! Did you get to see the haunted room??? I actually caught a "Smoke Cloud" sitting on top of the chair inside that room!!!
I think the problem with the layout is that the ship was built for a different market of cruising. I have a feeling in a couple years they may redesign some of the areas on the Costa/Carnival ships.
Hi, I sailed on the Costa Firenze for a two-week cruise to the Canary Islands from 22 December 2023 to 7 January 2024. After spending 17 days on board, I can say that the Firenze, together with the Venezia, are two of the most beautiful ships of the group Carnival. I think that Carnival's choice to transfer these two ships was too hasty, because Costa is the company with the highest turnover after Carnival in the group. These ships are probably not suited to what you Americans are used to (4/5 day cruises in warm places and having a great time). The Lido deck is very interesting, but more suitable for locations with spring temperatures and European locations. This "Costa by Carnival" will probably end up being a variant of the normal Carnival cruises without fully representing the Italian style (in Italy we are not all noisy and messy, this mainly happens in the south 😅). In conclusion I hope you can enjoy this wonderful ship, from a decorative and elegance point of view. Thanks for the video, I follow you from Italy, but being passionate about cruises I can't help it. The good thing is that I practice my English 😂
Jay, another to the point vid. I'm sailing the ship for my birthday mid August. 6 day to Cabo. It was extremely affordable to the point I couldn't stay home! Having sailed all the Vista class Carnival ships, I understand this is basically the same. They are my favorite class. Having just sailed the Celabration last week from MIA, that ship left me feeling not happy. Between the lack of service, poor attitude of guest services, (they thought it perfectly acceptable to have a crew party from 12 AM to 3AM in function space directly above my cabin, complete with pro DJ and sound sytem) was perfectly normal. Couldn't understand why I was not happy. Offered a typical $50 on board credit. I told them if my satisfaction was only worth $50 to Carnival, they obviously need the money more than I.
