FIRST LOOK at Tiana's Bayou Adventure at NIGHT! Ride Testing, Film Crew & Ride Music Playing

Come with me for an amazingly lucky day at Magic Kingdom as we see Tiana's Bayou Adventure as it hasn't been seen before! Not only are the walls down, but I stay to show you DAY AND NIGHT, all lit up and amazingly gorgeous after sunset with the new lighting package, and sparklingly beautiful in the daytime sun. But that's not all! Disney is filming some promotional footage, so we get to watch the film crew and see behind the scenes of this amazing shoot that goes on all day and night, with riders and actors riding Tiana's Bayou Adventure as it continues to test run all day long! We see the amazing camera crews at work, get to hear the ride music, see the ride all lit up with glowing fireflies - it's just an amazing day! We also have a ride on Haunted Mansion just for fun! We get to see Tiana's Bayou Adventure day and night for the first time, see Disney filming the commercials and promos behind the scenes, and see the fireworks from Tiana's with it all lit up! Fireworks in the Bayou! I'm here for it, and thank you for being here for it too. I'm so happy I get to experience this special day and share it with you!

I can see a lot of people have big feelings about this new attraction, and I'm allowing people to share their varied opinions here, just please be respectful and civil. Personally, I’m reserving judgment of what’s inside the ride until I ride it in person, but the exterior and all the cool shots I caught of Disney filming and the fireworks back there at night, made for a very special day I’m honored to share with you all!! The current Disney management was not respectful when they took this huge step to cancel Walt by removing the masterpiece that was Splash Mountain and replaced it with this terrible... thing. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with Disney. Splash Mountain did what Walt required; make attractions that make people smile. Anyone can go to a robotics contractor and buy expensive animatronics for big bucks, but that does NOTHING to make a good attraction. The Disney of Walt's time didn't NEED expensive animatronics to make a great attraction. They had STORY, they had THEME, they had GOOD MUSIC, and it all worked to make the most excellent stories that anyone had ever seen. This, this.. thing does NONE of that. The music is grating, the characters are undefined, there is NO story, the venue has NOTHING to do with the Princess and the Frog, and even that story was very mediocre and completely unworthy to bear the Disney name. Yes, they have great animatronics and some great artistry in the ride, but that's only like platters of silver carrying piles of manure. Everyone responsible for this DISASTER should be fired and banned from Disney, and the entire Disney management and creative staff should be replaced. Then a profound apology should be issued, this monstrosity should be torn down and Splash Mountain should be reinstated.

If the “have u ridden it, question is for me…. Yes I have rode both the one at Disneyland and at Disney World several times. I don’t live close enough nor have I ever had the money to visit more than that. Now with my lung disease, I simply enjoy the beauty and seeing joy on others faces that the parks can bring.

I appreciate the video and showing the details. There’s just no way to spin this. What a way to ruin a classic. This current batch of Imagineering doesn’t know how to design good attractions anymore. This forced, nonsensical and DEI-driven storyline is so dull and insipid, but worse, is BORING… and guess what, the ride is now dull and boring. Really is a shame to Tiana’s story.

Im really having a hard time getting excited about Tiana;s. I was a huge splash mountain fan and to remove that to retheme it is still strange thing when Disney really needed to just build a new ride to add to the magic but instead stole from peter to pay paul. And as an investor they used my money to do this. I'm still sour about this. :) But on the flip side, I do dig your shades and another fun vid to watch Jackie! Cheers!

The reality is that it was based on a film that was problematic even when it was released in 1946 and protested by the NAACP at that time. Why imagineers in the early 80s would think it would be okay to base a ride on it, was not a good use of critical thinking.

My issue is, I wonder how many people actually watched the Song of the South? I have watched it, and what I saw was, it showed an awful and sad time in American history, but also it was about a white boy who considered a black man who told him stories his best friend. The boy saw no color. So I don't understand why people hate it so bad?

Love your blog Jackie. Just saw the POV for Tiana. It is so disappointing. I cannot wait to hear your take on it. There was a real disconnect to the movie. All about a party. Imagineers did not follow through. They ruined one of the best rides out there for this. Thank you for all you do! Again I look forward to your review!

I’m really curious to see how the story plays out in the experience in person. I agree it seems like a weak story and I don’t really understand, but once I ride, I will give my honest and fair opinion and the pros and cons. I’m sure it will still be pretty and fun, I just love that Disney usually has some kind of stakes or tension in ride stories. This doesn’t seem to have any, but not all great rides do. We’ll see.

Nobody asked for this, All Fans wanted was To Upgrade the animatronics but keep the look and fix the boats, No normal thinking person asked for a Re theme, It Was Pissed Off, Tree Huger Activist who also work for the company, and 5 half shaved head women on the internet were offended by the song of the south and other disney rides,

Tiana' Bayou Adventure is BORING! The best scene is the celebration scene at the end. Why did they not use the villain?? Dr Facilier doing his magic would make this ride AMAZING. Right now it's a hard pass! Maybe by June 28th they'll modify it with improvements before the official opening day, OR maybe the Disneyland version would be better as that Splash Mountain was different than the WDW version.... They could've done so much with more screens and using Dr Facilier as a track visual distraction! This ride has no plot and no drama = no substance! It's like a water version of SUPERSTAR LIMO 🤦🏾‍♂️👎🏾👎🏾

Okay, I get it. It was a mistake to take down Splash Mountain because it had nostalgia, was iconic in a way Tiana's can never be, and was a ride that parents could take their kids on and enjoy the same story, theming, and songs they went on when they were kids. But that doesn't mean Tiana's Bayou is going to be bad. It looks absolutely beautiful and is going to be a great ride. It's the people that want Tiana's Bayou to fail that are saying it looks bad.

Seen the POV videos. A few spots that could use animatronics to give it a bit more life but it looks nicely done in such a quick manner. Tho what caught my eye was the water. I know that ride water always had that bit of murkiness to it ( even looked at old.vidoes) but now it looks straight up brown dirty water. I get it's suppose to be swamp land. Whether its a dye or cause of repainting giving it a deeper.color....just looks like icky water,. Hopefully as the water cycles the next few weeks it will look better.

Yea I saw the pov and there def is a lot of empty space and I wish there was some kind of villain or tension or “scary” part like most classic Disney attractions have. There’s things I like and things I don’t like so far, but I’ll try to reserve full judgment until I ride it myself. It’s always different when you’re there in person.

Meh 🫤 it looks like splash mountain with new but LESS animatronics. Lackluster story telling, empty spaces, no drama or urgency or feeling of suspense, story changes but they don’t really flow together, and it’s doesn’t even follow the story of the movie. It’s just blah!! It’s more disappointing then I could of ever imagined. I think most of us will be more excited to see what they’ve done to the Disneylands revamping of haunted mansion when it opens then this mess! Why can’t disney ever leave a well enough alone? Original SM was so much better than this version. But Disney being Disney had to go ruin a good thing!

Yea it does look like less animatronics and less story. Seems to lack any tension or a strong story, but I’m still excited for it to open and to ride it for myself. It’s always different to be somewhere and experience it in person than just watching a quiet pov. We shall see! Either way, I’ll give u the real deal pros and cons once I ride it.

Hi Jackie! Thanks for this awesome video! So beautiful to see the nighttime lights! And fireworks to boot! I’ll be down for Passholder previews 6/13-6/18 and hoping and praying I can get a 1:00 queue as I wasn’t able to get a park pass for MK despite waiting an hour online. But, I’m staying enthused! I got an AP preview for 06/18, hopefully I can get in the VQ. I went to MK yesterday to check it the outside. So far I like it. Knowing Tiana's new storyline gives you a better understanding of the whole ride design.

You all need to go to therapy if a children's ride is causing you so much distress. I can now fully understand why disney "adults" are ridiculed and made fun of. Jackie you're an exception but the comments on any Disney video are unhinged. Get help and figure out where your childhood trauma comes from, and you'll probably be a happier adult.

Loving how ''super enthused' everyone is about Tiana's! 😍The animatronics really do seem to be next-level even by Disney standards, and it looks SO GOOD at night! A little part of us will always miss 'Zip-a-dee-doo-dah', but I have to say, we have been very impressed by the reimagining of the exterior. Side note, we're loving that Disney World is starting to deploy more roaming characters...Katie would lose 👏her 👏mind 👏 if she found Rapunzel roaming through the Corona area! Great video Jackie!

While I am sure it will be an enjoyable ride (as it uses the same track as the former #1 theme park attraction in the world) it is certainly a downgrade. Also, not having the scary lead-up to the big hill with Facilier is a huge miss. He was the best part of the movie.

The fact the flumes are not even themed with anything says how far Disney is falling. They want to appease the few people so “offended” by literally the most popular log flume ride ever created and they can’t even add some new theming to the flumes. They did a budget cut on this ride no question.

Hey! I’m open. I like some of it. I thought the critters were left over from splash. I don’t understand the new additions. My style is keep it close to the movie. I miss her in her dress, but I get the outfit requirement. I think it would be less jungly of an outfit in real life, if it were real. I would have liked her hair kept long in her bun. Choices…what it is…they didn’t ask me. lol where is Ray the lightning bug? Not bad…I’d like the boat in the tree…

Those speakers are based off old phonograph speakers which became early record player bells. They actually were terrible as they often sounded like they had sand or something in them that muffled the music. Those bells were basically hollow while the base actually created sound. The bell was nothing more than an echo chamber to make them sound louder. Getting an old record player from the 20s is actually quite easy and they really don’t cost too much. Modern record players are much better especially with the new one that is from Japan that uses the best materials to minimize friction to near zero.

"Super Enthused" watch the disney full trailer on Tiana's. My perception is the ride is pathetic at best. Played 3 seperate videos I made of Splash Mountain over the years, there is no comparison. Projections? Really? I could buy two 86"inch TV's at Sams Club, set them side by side and do better, there is no drama, no excitement no life!!! Obviouly this attraction is on the fast track to join the defunct Star Wars Hotel. I would rather spend the same money to water the grass, at least then I would have the satisfaction that my money had been well spent. The concentrated effort to further destroy the "Magic" is apply displayed in their approx. 10 minute trailer.

Disney is going to close down princess and the frog ride for good and bring back splash mountain for those who never been on splash mountain before like me. I never been on splash Mountain. Everybody been on splash Mountain except for me at the Disneyland park Disney Florida park before except for me. I never been on splash Mountain, I need to go on splash Mountain and I think it’s time for Disney to close princess and the frog ride down to the ground and bring back splash Mountain bye-bye princess and the frog welcome back splash Mountain

First of all why do they need to test it when it’s been splash mountain before they changed it when nobody wanted it to be changed in the first place. It runs perfectly just open it. You can even tell nobody wanted the change because there was that one group of people on there and then after them it’s just empty. Nobody else is on it.

They were filming a commercial, so they had a bunch of empty boats and then boats with the actors who were part of the filming. They went around and around to get all the filming. It’s not open yet tho.

As someone who grew up in New Orleans I have to try so so hard to suspend belief with this attraction. Most of the city is below sea level. I just don’t get what mountainous terrain this is supposed to be modeled after. Hopefully the animatronics will rival those in the Asia parks though & they will be amazing. I’m really excited to see Louis🐊!! I do hope it goes along with the movie because it’s one of my favorite!

The outside of Tiana's Bayou looks so pretty, especially at night😊 The POV looks like they made it for the younger generations, but I think it looks goid enough. It would be better if they based it on the movie and not come up with a story that seems kind of like what may happen after the movie. This reminds of Avatar Navi River Journey. No bad guy chasing you, but just relaxing and pretty. Which is fine with me, I love Navi River Journey. I would have to Judge Tiana's Bayou in person. I think the camara doesn't make it look as nice as it will in person. I will say if i like it or not after i ride it in person, in 2026 vacation. I know Disney is counting on all their " influencers" to push this like it's the greatest thing... but I'm sorry it's not. It would be different of they replaced splash mountain with something better but they didnt. Splash mountain was waaaayyy better than this.

Maybe but personally, I’m not a Disney influencer. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I’m just a normal person who loves theme parks and makes RU-vid videos of things I’m enthused about. I still haven’t even ridden the ride yet. When I do, I’ll share my opinion. I don’t consider myself an “influencer,” (but I’m not necessarily offended by the word either), and I am beholden to no one. I don’t sell anything and I don’t ask anyone for anything. If I do like it, it’s because I like it. And if I don’t, I don’t. No more complicated than that. Maybe you weren’t even referring to me, but just wanted to clarify that because people have a lot of weird ideas about this stuff and it ain’t like that for me at least.

Hi Jackie. What a beautiful day and night. Have seen the DSNYLND/CA ADVNTR camera go through the whole Tiana ride. It is so pretty with the colors, refreshed and added additions. Do miss Zip pa te do dah song, that made Splash Mtn one to be remembered. Thank you so much for all your commentary and shots.

Yep that’s a huge factor in this ride. It can hold soooo many guests at any one time. Great for capacity.

Yea, that’s what it’s always been. But they rethemed it so we’ll see what it’s like when I ride it in person once it opens. Or if I can get a Passholder preview. It sure looks pretty from the outside tho and it was a very special night!

Splash Mountain debuted more than 30 years after Disney opened. It feels like an original ride for our generation, but now a new gen can get the feeling we did 😃

Great video Jackie!! Love seeing your first footage of Tiana’s Bayou!! it looks beautiful. I love the whole New Orleans 1920s vibe that the ride has!! It looks beautiful at night with the fireflies and the lights can really tell that you’re in a Bayou!! Love the purple lights they have on too when it’s dark!! so glad you got to experience being there!! 😊❤️😊🥰😊😊

I loved hearing the voices as they were test riding. It certainly sounded like they were enjoying it. I can see the character a bit of Rapunsal in you. I think I could relate with Belle a bit.

Speaking as a former WDW cast member, this has to be the DUMBEST attraction in WDW history, which only came about because Splash Mountain hurt some people's feelings. At least there's no rainbow flags or "Love is Love" banners.
