@@cielosgames Wtf dude, EGS is total trash! When I saw the sold on this game, I remember having it on EGS, I install it (and the launcher, because I never installed it). And god... It's worst than what I was thinking. The software is SLOW, but very SLOWWWW, when I click Steam, it's instant and with Epic games, it take at least 10 seconds to open... Open a software already launched... Wow lol . All the ergonomy is so bad, the friend list is bad (and I always get friend request by unknown...), The Shift+F3 overlay is very very very Bad, you have no information anywhere with EGS and where the hell can I activate the FPS and information in overlay in-game? To be honest, even Origin is better... It's perfectly fine to hate Steam, but Epic is just 100% worst. The only good thing with Epic, is the free games and price of games. But I prefer paying 0,50$ more on steam and I just uninstall Train Sim World 2 to buy it on Steam
They completely changed the engine so they could actually work on it way better. They also added a livery editor and there will be future support for even cooler features.
Just some tips for driving in Germany: The trains doesn’t have bells. Also, don’t use your Horn. We don’t use it normally. You should try driving with SIFA and PZB. That would be interesting ;)
So many good simulators coming out or have come out recently we just need a good realistic car driving one such as city car driving to use with the Logitech g920 etc
If anyone around the world playing tsw2 on ps4 please note that sand patch routes the locomotives having braking issues when doing time tables..dovetail is working on the issues
That train is actually so accurate. I was actually on that exact train in first class. When you boarded there were these like cabins with doors. That is where I was.
Schnellfahrstrecke means "high-speed route. Köln is a city in Germany pronounced like Khuuln. So for next time you can just call it the Köln high speed route.
@@T_bone0106 I didn't know any other way to write out the proper pronunciation. Plus not many people know the phonetic alphabet. My best friend is German so I do know how to properly pronounce it.
DelTalkoh Um, thank you very much, I’m German as well, and I live very close to Köln so I would know how to pronounce it properly. And whether you know the phonetic alphabet or not, „Khuuln“ is just wrong. Greetings.
@@T_bone0106 I know that "Khuuln" isn't really the proper way to say it. All I'm saying is that that's all I of thought of when trying to write out the pronunciation. Also my German friend is from southern Germany, (Nue-Ulm) which I'm guessing you already know, has a a dialect that is slightly different. So when he says it my mind thought Khuuln could be the closest phonetic spelling.
Thanks for the preview Jeff, appreciate it. I'll say this Everyone wants DTG to succeed, but they're just a terrible dev with their community. Train sim is the only genre that has a 20 year old game as a legit competitor to something modern. Train sim desperately needs a competitor to DTG or to start listening to the community. I'm not blaming the game developers themselves, I know they work their asses off to make this game, but DTG's business model is terrible and flawed. Only releasing small portions of routes, never coming back to them or making extensions to them, just to pump out a new 30 mile route somewhere. It's terrible Why can't SCS do a train sim instead of DTG
@@tuneboyz5634 who the fuck are you? plus your a year late pal. fucking reply in time if you wanna act cool taking the piss out of what people like. plus i don’t anymore
So... pretty much just a track and train expansion with a small UI upgrade disguised as a new game? They didn't even bother to update the game engine to UE5. :(
@@CensoredCrazed Yeah but, i'd rather them just update the UI in ts2020 and release the routes for the new games price as a DLC if they have to so I have everything together. it's just a cash cow at this point i think
Cool video But in German, Austria Switzerland and and some other european come countrys you don't apply the horn when leaving the station...we also do not have a bell like american trains Also the light on the ground are for shunting
Jeff you heart comments 7 months after the video came out! You care so much about your channel you deserve it I found 5 games that i really like from u
Man.. I really love your channel.. It is so god damn good. All these simulators / roleplays etc and mostly long videos! Your work is much appreciated and I have been watching you a lot since about 2015. Relaxing to your videos is always a good time. You're amazing man. This might sound weird but your personality / voice and what not just puts me in a good mood haha. Keep up the good work and take care.
TSW got a lot of this treatment. The only issue I've been having is the odd stuttering frames and for some reason small foliage doesn't seem to load far enough.
Lol, the devs never finished the first game, including an editor and multiplayer, and have basically rebranded the same game just like they did with Train Sim.
"Come in! No masks?" No Jeff, that's DLC 🤣 Love me some ICE trains. Back in the 90's we had a first gen ICE running between DC and NYC as a test for the viability of high speed service. I enjoyed it very much, and even then it was way ahead of it's time. I enjoyed it more than our current Acela trains, I wish they would have bought them.
Jeff, one note, there is currently NO new DLC to buy for TSW2, if you bought the DLC for TSW2020 you will get it free in TSW2, as part of what they are calling the Preserved Collection. They have said if I've understood correctly from their streams, that this model will continue in future editions. The Preserved collection btw will come in a staged way over the next few weeks and months but they are all on the roadmap and are definitely coming. The reason for the delay, (and apparently for the name change) is that there have been engine changes that would have broken parts of the DLC and game so it was decided to do the game first with the new routes and bring the DLC in phases with updates and upgrades for compatibility and new features
Female brakeman that just sits in the loco looks pretty rough. Been into train sim since 1992. Tsw 2 is cool. ICE train pretty cool. I have ridden that when I was in Germany.
Köln (Cologne) is where i live :D the station actually looks like the real one also you forgot its germany. people dont laugh here, they have no humor its pronounced "shnell far shtrecke" (roughly translates to high-speed route)
@@mstrmren jo und du beweist es indem du nicht raffst dass das ein witz über ein klischee ist that guy srsly just gave me shit for saying germans have no humor.... feels kinda meta
From my understanding, numbers above a signal in yellow is what the speed limit will be at the next signal. Numbers in white above a signal are what the speed limit is from that signal. Hope that makes sense.
This version of train sim world has a livery editor Jeff now u can make ur own liveries for the trains Plus it has a scenario editor and u can use any train on any route using off the rails mode
"This is the ongoing problem with a lot of these sims that are on the market now. Everybody just seem like they hate their lives" *Well it's a sim afterall right?*
I like your comment about the TSW and TSW2...I agree with you..they should just up-date it, BUT....now they come with a "2", this is just a marketing thing.....now they have a reason to sell DLC's that were in the original TSW, again in TSW 2, with a different title... There was a game I had put on my wish list in STEAM, Mud Runner.., the interesting thing is....the developers made promises on what they were going to introduce in the game, but then they game out with Spin Tires.and put that stuff in that game....Again, they made promises on putting snow in the game, and now there is a game, SNOW RUNNER....I hate this sort of things, companies that think they can just milk the player base... I stepped away from that game, I really cant be fucked with that ...
Yeah... I won't be giving any more money to Dovetail Games. This is basically a UI update for TSW 1. Same problems, same graphics, same poor programming skills. I remember on the first one, the doppler effect was so poorly optimized that it would drop 20fps just playing the horn on the outside view. I wouldn't be surprised if that problem is still there in this one.
I'm amazed to how accurate the Station in the beginning is and the city buildings around it. Been there many times and the representation is pretty accurate.
Yes thats the german Train looks good detailed. Even so the stations Cologne looks exactly like real. The 2nd train is allowed to drive 140-160km/h MAXIMAL. And the Sound is 100% like real.. lol ...im from Berlin Germamy
Hi Jeff, quick question for you, what should I buy, TSW 2020 or TSW 2? I have Train Simulator 2021 which I am now a little bored with. Great videos. Keep em comin'.
This should've been a yearly update to TSW1, not a new game, but hey DTG love money, they promised so much for TWS1 that never happened! Thing is they know they can do it because they know people will buy it and they can keep making money from it... DTG need competition in the rail sim market, otherwise they'll just keep doing it...
Another $50 from Dovetail the money bandits.. Looks choppy to me the one thing I hate about Dovetail they never fix problems once you buy it your stuck with glitches.. Looks like the same AIs they never really improve anything.. Short lines that never go over 35 miles and engines that cost $20 ... Microsoft had a good train sim back in the day that went a long way and they never nickel and dimed you to death like dovetail does.. There all about money and never fix a thing..
The thing with dovetail is they don't fix the bugs, even if it's been reported multiple times over the years. They're so lazy about this, that the DLCs in TSW2 still have the bugs from TSW1.
Hey Jeff. Someone else may have mentioned this already. I play on Xbox, not PC, but there is an option to change the controls back to the previous style, if you want. Not sure what it looks like on PC, though. Try checking the controls section of the settings.
I loved your game play lol I 2 also have the game He He... You Americans seem to love this European Train Sim lol Never known Americans to get so excited about Euro Trains lol and your not the only American I have watched... A few other Americans are the same lovable to watch you all make me laugh in a good way :) p.s. Ghost in the machine regarding the console lights lol
