Not gonna lie, I’m very disappointed that the VR experiences are now gone. I’ve done this broom experience at Warner Brothers here in Los Angeles. You sit on a broomstick that swings back and forth, and only see a green screen. You do not get the sensation of flying like you do with the VR experience. Yes, you get a cool video and photos at the end, but it’s not the same as feeling as if you’re flying around Hogwarts. We also lost the experience where you get to walk around Hogwarts. For those of us who can’t afford or aren’t interested in owning a whole gaming system so you can play Hogwarts Legacy, this was such a special adventure. I’m very disappointed that they pulled the VR experiences in New York. However, thank you so much for showing us this Peter. There are lots of folks who wouldn’t have known about it otherwise.
I agree..discontinuing the VR was the worst thing they could've done. There are plenty of keepsakes you could bring home but feeling like you actually pushed a cart toward platform 9 3/4, moving on the staircase in Hogwarts and gliding in a boat across the black lake in a 4D experience (with the wind),was priceless.
Not sure if it's on the Studio Tour, but I wish they have a quidditch pitch scene on the string of video snippets, or an option as a photo! I bet a lot would love that! I would love that! Also, it's so lovely to see other HP content creators! So excited for you guys to do more collabs!

I love this store so much, my only complaint is that they so t update their merch all that much. Especially their house collection, it’s pretty much been the same for 2 years

I live in North Jersey about a few hours away from NYC and haven't had the chance to visit the store yet but have made online purchases. One of rhese days I will though and can't wait. It’s cool that this can be a keepsake to share on social media but does anyone know why they got rid of the VR experience? If it’s anything like Dreamscape i imagine it to be a full sensory unforgettable experience (?)
I've seen the one at Warner Bother Studio London and it looks like fun but the queues where long! I always thought a green screen would eliminate a lot of Slytherin costume wearing fans. Maybe one booth could be blue screen instead.
did this at the Studio Tour When I went to London. Here is a tip while you are waiting in line watch other people was they do the experience, pay attention to the video it will help you get the timing right for some of the actions like touching the water.

Is all of the video shot head on? It looks a bit odd to me to have it from only that angle, and it's not the most flattering of positions to be filmed in. I feel that if there were shots from the side as well, it would make it a bit less ...hmmm... cartoonish and silly? Also, a seat that is smaller and fixed "tighter" to the broomstick would make it less visible than that huge seat and would definitely help with the illusion that you're actually flying on a broomstick.
So it's mentioned that via the QR code, you get the video, but do you only get the edited videos? Can you get the unedited video of just you and the green screen? As cool as this new experience is for most people, some people with video editing skills would love to get the original green screen video and edit a more quality version into their own scenes! Really cool what they offer already, but it's understandably a very low-budget looking result with poor scale, perspective and coloring/lighting Thanks for the video Peter! Looks so cool and will definitely be trying it out on my next NY trip
With the QR code, you receive the video and two photos with the 6 different overlays. Digitally, you receive it all. You can pay extra to have them print the photos out. Unfortunately, they don’t provide the green screen only photos.
