Hi taeyeon has MANY songs and I picked the songs that I really wanted to hear In this marathon. I’m noticing a trend with many people complaining about my song choices for these episodes. The music is not going anywhere guys and I will get to it. Just enjoy the episode maybe yeah? I can’t do everything all at once.

Taeyeon, a year after her debut in 2007 was branded as a vocalist who conveys emotions that pulls the heartstrings. her seniors at that time even said that she sang like she was divorced 7 times.

Taeyeon suffered from depression back in 2018 and she revealed about it in 2019, I think. She’s better now and she talk about it publicly. Because she’s the leader of SNSD so she got lots of hate. Back in the day she said that she couldn’t talk about her problems with someone that’s experienced, her senior, because they think that being a leader of snsd is the best thing ever and there’s nothing to worry about. Which is also why she’s very supportive to her juniors, not only sm artists, because she knows how hard it is. She talks about depression in some interviews and give advice about it too. I love that she just live her life peacefully with her dog now. She doesn’t go on music shows a lot, often she just released a song and sing it in her concert

Her debut song ' I ' literally changed kpop (for real), started the flood of kpop idols turned soloists, before that idols soloist were rare and were lucky to have 1 hit. It was such a hit everyone wanted that too. Korea waited for her solo since her ost IF in 2008.

When Verbal Jint mentioned her being “born to fly” and used the word butterfly, I wanted to mention this thing about Tae and butterflies. She autographs her name with a butterfly. And her first two singles were “I” and “Rain.” In Korean, I is “na” and rain is “bi” and if you put them together “nabi” in Korean means butterfly!

Can't Control Myself destroyed me like, the story, the double meaning of the story, the man clapping with the audience at the end, the thrown roses that made Taeyeon bleed, her last smile, the painful melody, i love it i love the pain and the message like, why is it underappreciated we're literally witnessing a tragedy and people hype up senseless trap songs😭

taeyeon is one of the best singers out there. the way she delivers her emotions in songs is just... immaculate. her song 'time lapse' is probably my favorite breakup song ever (alongside 'fine'). there's just something so sad and melancholic about her voice, it always makes me want to cry. and her discography... flawless. she's just the best out there 🤍

can't control myself is my favourite taeyeon song as of now just for the music video! i agree with you, it was so well acted out and taeyeon really is such an emotive person in general, and it comes out in both her singing and acting. the mv was so raw, i think i remember her saying that for another song of hers, four seasons, she had a hard time connecting w the song lyrically until she decided to direct it to what she felt towards her music (during the period where she was having doubts abt her career). one of the most prominent lines was 'did i even really love you?', so i can't help but wonder if can't control myself was a similar case, too. if the man was supposed to represent her music, her career, and everything that comes with it. how she's had to dressed up time and again how much she was really struggling, and how even when she came clean and held none of her frustrations and anger back, it was still consumed as entertainment, or celebrity gossip. like everything she does is seen as a performance, so much so that we're even feeding off her pain. and how it's a cyclic, this whole thing, just like a play. taeyeon really does have some of the best mvs in kpop and undoubtedly the top songs/albums too, she's so good

You HAVE to react to the live version of Fine. It's so incredibly beautiful and it sounds even better live. It's so emotional live and gets you in the feels for sureee.

As much as I'd want this reaction video to be hours long, Taeyeon literally has THE BEST DOSCOGRAPHY in the industry ever that I can't complain from any song you react to. I is definitely a phenomenal song (still cry to it to this day, made me want to rethink my entire life), Why is a forever summer must-play, Fine hits as hard as it first did, BLUE is still in my top three of hers (along with Circus and Secret) (I am a sucker for emotional songs as you can say), and Can't Control Myself is a certified bop (will get stuck in your brain 24/7) If you ever have time to check out her b-sides in your free time, I HIGHLY suggest you do. Pick anything, it will slap no matter what. Even her live performances in concerts of Fine and Gravity, her covers, and her performance of UR and just UGH... everything. She's so good. When you watched "Why" do you remember that there was a part where Taeyeon has grey hear and bumped a man? You said "Who that??" and that scene is actually from the "Starlight" MV which is her other song with Dean and the man she bumped to was Dean. You can see his face in the MV. Dean is such a wonderful rnb singer and you should definitely check him out later if you have the time to cuz his voice is just AMAZING. And that "Miss me?" was from Dean and when she puts down the pictures you can see a picture with Dean and Taeyeon together! At the end of “Why,” it was a grave she made on the beach where her boyfriend liked to go with her and those was all their pictures together she found in a time capsule her boyfriend possibly told her to open after a certain date if something ever happened to him. The one scene where she was squirting the mustard and ketchup on the guy was when he and she met for the first time and it went from there. It's sad because he passed away and she's reminiscing on all the memories.

I really really should have left comments for you the previous times I watched your videos bc they're such a treat. I first came across your channel for Taeyeon's Killing Voice reaction, and from then on I looked up whether you've reacted to my fave artists/songs and watched the ones I found (I had a blast with your Woodz reactions, as well as your journey in reacting to RV haha). When First Look S3 started off with Chungha (!!!!) of all people I actually screamed IRL bc I was so so excited. It was always a joy to see someone discover the gem that is Kim Chungha. In starlight she met Dean and they both fell in love and got in a relationship but somehow he passed away so in why she sings about wishing if he was still alive for both of them to run away from problems, people and life. I'm a taenganster (taeyeon's unofficial fandom name) since 2010 and I was absolutely happy for her solo debut and what I noticed about her mvs is that they all have a storyline and some of her songs like I and spark and wings are autobiography style songs. It's always a treat to see people enjoy Taeyeon and her music. Her voice really transcends languages, you can always feel the emotions and stories in her songs. She was born with it and it's very evident even during her trainee years. 'I' is Taeyeon's solo debut and it's about her own struggles and her overcoming them and finally being able to love herself(she co-wrote the lyrics). It's a very precious song for both her and fans. She's very well loved by her peers and the public as a singer but also as a person(especially her juniors, she has a lot of idol fans lol). Sorry to see you struggling with some of the comments. taeyeon has never had any major acting roles. i think she's said it's because she wants to focus on singing? but ive always thought she was especially good for someone with little to no experience. i think it's because she doesn't overdo her mannerisms or expressions so they feel realistic and nuanced, but i'm not a expert so! all i can say is i'm glad you enjoy her music and her voice so much, and i hope you can implement her in your channel more :)
