Such a beuatiful car. I nearly struggled to get one of these. Luckily I got the last one from all the dealers here. At 4:30 you said, that you do not have shelf queens and run all your slot cars. Yes, thats what they are made for but i always have to force myself not to just put it on the shelf because they are so beautiful, especially when they are new...

I presently have two cars I have yet to open and run.. I will eventually get to them. The running joke is “no shelf queens!” But the other running joke is “no more cars!!” I can’t seem to live up to that one 😂

On the treaded tires. Back in the day all the racing tires were treaded. Slicks were not done at all, so the treaded tires are correct, not rain tires. As a younger fellow I was at the CanAm races at Road America. Beautiful car except for the color. All my Ferraris are yellow! However I just ordered mine. Same as yours. Mike M.

A great addition to the Thunderslot range there Marty :) I ordered the two variations albeit I don't think they have hit Europe just yet. I do have an old Racer Ferrari 350 somewhere which is more detailed. I'll find it and compare them side by side and maybe post on HRW FB. Great looking car and that red just pops :)

Damn, I remember being into slot cars back in the mid 60's with numerous track car stores and race courses popping up all over the place and LONG since gone. Didn't even know slot cars still existed!

Beautiful car Marty,dont shelve it,lol.I replace vunerable plastic mirrors by making copies with paper clip stalks,yet to have one break in a roll over.

Thanks for the video Marty. Great looking car. Your video inspired me to order one this morning and I wasn't going to. I'm not a fan of open cockpit slotcars.... YET lol. But since I don't own a Thunderslot car yet, with all the hype, I thought this would be the first one to pull the trigger on. . I was surprised I was able to find the #27 car without pre-ordering. Excited, can't wait for it to arrive.

@@twolinesslotcars I will surely do that. According to the tracking # it should be there when I get home from work this evening as well as a NSR GT40 MKII #4 car that I found used on FB market place (excellent condition with the jewel box). Makes for a happy day at work know there will be a couple of slot cars on the stoop when I get home. I hope to get some time with the Thunderslot this weekend. I'll report back when you do.

@@twolinesslotcars Hi Marty. I got a chance last night to put a few laps on the Thunderslot 350. My first impression... it is absolutely a fantastic car to drive. Straight out of the box (no tuning or oil even, I need a torx tool for the screws) this car has easily the fastest, stuck to the track and in the slot car I have driven straight out of the box. That comparison is to a couple of Revoslots, an NSR, and some Scaleauto cars I have. No magnets of course and I am a pretty green rookie in this hobby. This car will easily be my fastest car once tuned. Currently that car is my NSY C7 Vette Jägermeister livery. I can't wait to open this car up and start doing some tuning.
