The drink is called "Teh Ais". If you order "The Tarik", they'll give you the hot milk tea. Mamak is a restaurant runs by Indian Muslim, which usually operates for 24hours. In Malaysia, we called croquettes as "Bergedil" (my favourite) 🤤. It's really fun seeing you guys enjoy the food. Can't wait to see more of your journey in Malaysia 😁
This is Malay food. Mamak food stores are usually run by Indian Muslim . Malaysia has Indian Hindu , too...as the religion implies. Mamak food are usually served by Indian muslim men . Malay food are usually run by Malay ladies. Seldom you see Indian women running Indian food business . Roti canai and papadam is the 2 distinction food served by Mamak shops.
Teh tarik > hot milk tea Teh ais > ice milk tea The drink that u guys ordered was teh ais actually, because it’s have ice. New knowledge haha. Welcome to Malaysia Gink Jepun!
Actually that stall is not "kedai mamak", we call it as "warung" instead and "teh tarik" served as a hot drink, when it has ice in it, we call it as "teh ais". If you want to order milo that cold, you can say milo ais, if you want coffee, you can say kopi ais. But if you want to replace condensed milk with sugar in your drink like teh ais/teh tarik, you can say "Teh O Ais satu", just put "O" in the middle of it. Except for juices, we don't use this terms 😆
@@NobuShunPoko that is not mamak restaurant,😅 ..that is Malay restaurant ,mamak restaurant is operates by Indian or pakistani muslim and open 24 hours everyday🥰🥰😊
Poko licking his fingers like a true Malaysian when he was eating hahahahaha Anyway I hope you guys have an enjoyable time in Malaysia!! If you are staying here for quite some time, I suggest you to visit other cities such as Ipoh and I can give you recommendations of places that you should visit!
Malaysia is wild, but cool - Nobu. Poko-san, do not force yourself if the food is spicy or if the does not taste good. Take a little, give it a try and if you like it, you can " tambah lauk for the 2nd, 3rd round ya "
Hi Hi Nobu san, FYI, Malaysian sweetness standard "higher" than Japan, therefore when ordering drink, you can request for "less sugar/less sweet" with local bahasa language. Less sweet = "Ku-rang Ma-nis"
This is not mamak. This is a malay restaurant. Mamak is an Indian Muslim restaurant with mostly male IIndian or Pakistani workes. Usually opens 24 hours. Some tips when ordering If you order teh tarik, it means hot milk tea. If you want iced milk tea, say teh ais. Kopi ais - iced coffee Hot coffee / tea without milk - kopi / teh o panas Iced coffee / tea without milk - kopi / teh o ais O means without milk (the alphabet o) Want it to be less sweet, say kurang manis. Less spicy - kurang pedas Don't want spicy - taknak pedas No sugar - taknak gula
Welcome to our world. Hope you enjoy and have fun. The shop isn't "kedai mamak". It's a "warung". The drink is "teh ais" (iced tea). Teh tarik is hot tea with milk, and during preparation the maker will "tarik" (pull) the drink. If you go to kedai mamak, order teh tarik and watch how it is prepared. I think you'll be amazed.
@@lemonstertree1844 ada. Sbb sy pon pernah beli. Tp tipikal teh tarik adalah panas. Selalunya, bila letak ais, buih2 tu jd kurang & nampak mcm teh ais biasa. Kadang2 sampai tak boleh beza sama ada teh tarik ais atau teh ais. 👍
Thanks for visiting our country! Hope y'all pick the best tourism spots in Malaysia, i don't want y'all to go back with disappointments hence having bad impressions of our country. Stay safe & can't wait for more updates! Ta no shin de ne~

At 4:51 that sister is really nice! She went along with Nobu and said "korokke" lol In Malaysia we called it "Begedil". Different with Japanese one is we don't use bread crumb, so it's softer but Japanese one is crispy I think? Don't drink too much Teh Tarik though. You gonna get fat faster lol They put too much condensed milk in there. You can always ask for less sweet though.
yeyy saya awal! but if u want to order the ice teh tarik, you must say teh ais. if you just say teh tarik only, they give you the hot version. and for me the restaurant is not mamak, we called it kedai nasi berlauk. mamak stall is a muslim indian restaurant.
I really can’t wait for the next Video… I hope you can go to the Terengganu tu is was one of Malaysia City.. you can looks how beautiful drawbridge in the night 😭😭
Nobu, i think you should talk with your friend in malay more of often because it will help you in saying the word and help you to remember malay word👍🙂
Waww...you already finish quarantine..I'm happy you finally start your journey for food hunting😁I don't know why I'm that happy maybe because of I always seen your vlog n that you always want to come to Malaysia perhaps 🤔🤭stay safe✨ n enjoy yourself 💪🤞
the government try to protect and plant so many trees in the city, even in the very city canter to provide shade and reduce air pollution effect and reduce the heat, cause you know, very hot country
Anyway, how long do you guys stay in Malaysia? If many months, you can visit bazaar Ramadan starting from 2 April - 1 May 2022 ! Because it has many delicious food 😆😩🤤🤤

wow Nobu!!!..i forgot that i have subscribed to your youtube channel..we matched in Tinder before and have a conversation there..welcome to Malaysia and hope you enjoy your time here with your friends 😍🥰
Tea Tarik - hot. Teh Ais - ice. I would suggest u to experience Malaysian cuisines from all the races in Malaysia.. choosing food in Malaysia can even make the best couple fight! The diversity..
" we are handsome japaneese boys " Ofc 😉 luv yall from negeri sembilan , you should come here !! I think kl not to far with negeri sembilan .. ( i guess )
You should try 'kuih' next time! You can find it anywhere especially on the early morning. There's so many types of them. You should try kuih apam, seri muka and kuih koci ( my favourites😍).
Nobu don't forget to try ikan patin masak tempoyak..well even tempoyak from durian the food won't taste like it (Welp I’m not very good at the food chapters but for sure I can tell is the taste is really unique) and just thinking of that already make me drooling 🤤
One thing about malaysian stalls/restaurants you can make request with how you want your drink. Ice? no ice? less ice? more ice? just ice? ice on the outside? you name it. we have it.
