Thank you. I have some really big projects that I’ve been trying to finish but everything takes so long when you only have a few hours a week to work on it.
I completely understand u can send me things to try out if u dont have the tank cause mine is going and running just trying to upgrade like my intake refugium im decently getting growth but not the flow
@@rickymcnugget4635 taller shouldn’t matter. I already made one for the WB Pen mini 15. It’s going to be in an upcoming video but I’m currently testing it. Sounds like it should just drop right in.
Great video. I am currently designing a similar filtering mat system and have been struggling to figure out where the mat should pass through. After seeing your design, I got some inspiration. Thanks.
Dude you gotta get yourself a 3d printer asap. Best purchase you will ever make but you have to use it and stick with it. Otherwise it will just collect dust on a shelf somewhere. A laser isn’t really necessary tho.
@@ISeaLive just curious...What size roller mat do I need... And does it come with one? I'm going to go ahead and order a roll of paper if I need to beforehand. I shot you an email a couple days ago but never got a response.
Just purchased! Bought my 13.5 about a month ago and I've been dying for something different in the first filter media section. This roller is going to make a world of difference....
@@leerogers5628 took it out after about 2 months. Didn't even make it through the first roll. The problem I was having was it was doing such a good job filtering It was backing up my water and my automatic top off was getting close to overflowing my tank if I wasn't careful and I was having to roll it maybe twice a day. It was great but if it had an automatic timer on the roller so you didn't have to manually do it every 10 to 12 hours it would be really good. I ended up just going with the InTanke media baskets and chamber one and chamber 2.... Filter sponge, filter floss, rock media in the first one and I changed the second column into a refugium.... With that combo my tank is crystal clear and has constantly zero nitrates.
Many thanks. Funnily enough I’ve just had an ATO overflow using a skimmer and media basket in 2 for same reason. I’m switching to MB in 1 and refugium as well in 2. Thanks for taking the time 👍🏻
@@leerogers5628 If you need any suggestions. What I did was change the middle basket to a refugium but I took the stock light off of the fluval 13.5 and stood it up on its end against the glass in chamber 2. Makes a great little refugium light...lol. I took the lid off immediately and replaced with a better light source because my corals didn't like the stock light at all. Great little tank! The other thing I did was upgrade the pump to a SICCE silent 1.0 to get more flow. The inTank media baskets and the upgraded pump were the best things I did to my tank. Good luck!
@@ISeaLive per the specs for overflow chamber on the Waterbox website the 20 and 25 have the exact same dimensions while the 15 is the same except for the height. 3.1x3.1x13.8 for the 15 and 3.1x3.1x15.7 for the other two.
@@AJBAdventures I haven’t really wholesaled anything before and unfortunately everything is expensive because it’s low volume and hand made at the moment. I’m sure the price will go down if ppl start purchasing these.
amazing! Outstanding. I freaking love it. You could rig up a small geared motor with high torque and low rpm to run on a timer like once every 4 days for 30 seconds to advance the roller automatically.
I would buy this instantly if you had one for a 24g aquatop!!! Have been wanting something like this since I got it! Also got a subscriber from me just for the details you gave in the video definitely a thumbs up video!!!
Excellent work! I can see a lot of time and thought went into that. I know getting tolerances and structural integrity just right is harder than it looks. Throw in moving parts and the challenge is multiplied. Bravo!
Water box mini series peninsula 15 and 25 along with the small cubes (10 gallon) and bio cube 29 and 32 those would be a great start for the AIO roller mat!
💯, I already started on the Waterbox Series. I am testing a unit on the Peninsula mini 15g right now. I wonder if any of these tanks have the same size overflow chamber. Maybe the 10g cube is the same and the pen 15g ?
@@ISeaLive I wrote the measurements in my own post a bit above. Pen15 and Cube10 have same height, so have Cube20 and PM25 (but you can probably get away with a version for the PM15/Cube10) and all WB Nanos (Cubes and PM both sizes) have the same size for their sock chamber otherwise.
I would definetly buy one of these badboys from you for my WB 25 Peninsula Mini. Regardless of how much the shipping costs to Germany may be this is a must have for me!!
This is such a great idea, and keeping it simple with the hand crank instead of fussing with sensors and motors really works well for the small desktop aquariums! I'd love to have one on my IM Fusion 25 Lagoon tank! All the IM Fusion desktop tanks share the same filter chamber dimensions so it would be super simple to have one that fits them all! Eagerly awaiting the IM drop!
I’ve had it on the tank a few months now and it’s doing great. Prior to the roller mat the filter pad on my media basket would get clogged every 4-5 days of it wasn’t cleaned. It’s was super annoying because of how messy it was. Just the convenience has been a game changer.
My favorite part of this video is when you laser cut the acrylic parts.... IMO too many people seem to just rely on 3d printing for their final production. Thank you for the design and video. If I ever get back into saltwater aquariums it will probably be a 10-20g nano AIO.
@@ISeaLive yes thats true I bought the media basket and it slides in under the permanent piece - so yours would have to drop in the center channel and slide left to lock into the sock area, in fact if planned correctly there can still be a media cup and your mat. Im glad to send you picks and links
Good work on the design and function!! 20 seconds into the video and I was wanting one for my Aquatop Recife 24g cube. Hopefully in time you have bandwidth to spread out to other tanks.
Well done! That looks super cool. Are you possibly planning a version that will fit a Fluval Spec-V 5-gallon tank? It would be super tiny, but very useful in that size tank.
Thank you. I actually just ordered that tank. It will be really cool to pack a roller mat into the back of it. It’s going to be one small roller mat lol
@@ISeaLive if done right i think you could make one size that could work in a number of similar sized tank - include the FLuval Spec-V, LifeGard Aquatics nanos, and possible the and Waterbox Cube mini series
I would pay a lot of $$$ for one of these that fit the waterbox cube 20 AIO especially if it incorporated a little 12v gear motor to wind up the felt. Great job on this idea I will be following with the hopes that you will design one for my tank.
To help roll the fleece onto the new roller you could add a spot on the correct roller where you could insert a torx bit or any bit of your liking so you could use a drill instead of spending 10 min rolling by hand. Love the design if you could make one for a water box peninsula mini 25 id but one!!!
