This is a little random, but for your podcast I think it would be interesting to have Kristee Vetter on and listen to both of your experiences living with your parents again. What was it like, how had your relationships changed (if it all) as a result of having experience living on your own/being independent, reflecting on changing dynamics as you get older and come into your own, etc. I understand if that would be too personal, but I remember how living with my parents again after college for a while was and thought it would be interesting to hear a pod on :)
Haaaa! I also follow Kristee- who I know follows you- but I was a bit shy to suggest you collab.....but glad someone else has as it's great idea and she knows lots of other NYC YTers 👍😊😊
I know you’ve talked about it recently, but I can truly see the changes you’ve made in your life. I think that is a big reason why your comment section is more positive lately!! Put positive vibes out there and you will get them in return 🖤 Keep doing you!!
Also the quantity of windows in this new space sparks so much joy. U should fill ur apartment with plants! So excited for the next few weeks of content 🤩
The biggest thing I learned from living in NYC is utilizing wall space (if you can) with hanging shelves, hooks on the wall, hooks on the back of doors, etc. Basically, command strips will be your best friend. I also got bins that are specifically for under your bed that you can store seasonal clothes, shoes and things that you are not using every single day. Those saved me from cramping my closet and drawers with every piece of clothing I own. This is also probably stupidly obvious but getting rid of stuff I truly didn't need was a game changer lol hope that helps! Also, this vlog was so motivating to me to get my life together. I'm a long time viewer and I am honestly so proud of you for finally moving to the city
I’m never one to comment on stuff, but I’m truly happy for you. You’re radiating happiness and sometimes change and making those huge leaps is the best thing to get where you want to be and to truly reach that level of peace. Get it girl!
ugh im LIVING for these NYC vlogs already, cannot wait to come back and visit again this makes me miss it even more!! love how its already coming together!!
I’m so happy for you Brooke 😍😍😍 I’ve been LIVING for this NYC move content. My husband and I just moved into our first house in Utah. I’m literally obsessed with it and have been trying to get organized as well. One idea for your clothes, I would for sure buy more of those cute bins for your closet shelf. Also, I know you said you love picking out your outfit for the next day. Maybe a cute command strip hook on the door so you can hang your outfits before bed? Also! Sorry last thing. You can buy skinny long bins for underneath your bed! You can switch out seasonal clothes so they are tucked alway when you don’t need them. Just some ideas, can’t wait for the kitchen vlog!!! 😍
Brooke, I am way older than you... and I am living for your vlogs🤗 Let me first say, your hair is absolutely beautiful. The color & style... Perfect👌🏼I subscribed to your channel during quarantine and I've been hooked since. Your maturity level and your zest for life is contagious. Although we come from different backgrounds - socioeconomic statuses,- Still I enjoy watching your parents, their beautiful home, road trip scenes, the moving, the apt hunt, to now your apt tour / interior decorating, ideas, and all the projects/ ideas in between. I love it all! I get to learn and see it from your experiences; plus your willingness to take the time to vlog about it makes me appreciate your transparency and effort. What you have done my dear I wasn't able to do not even at age 23... my life has just been of pure survival. Please do continue to share more❤ Live your best life Beautiful! Stay safe & healthy. Looking forward to seeing so much more of your adventures in your new apt and of NYC.
I’m so thrilled for you Brooke - I think you’re gonna thrive in NYC 💕 I will miss your family content though so pls vlog when you do trips home/ to your Mum’s work apartment ;)
Omg you should do a kitchen organization ,morning routine, tips for people that are moving alone to a new city.... there is so many good ideas! Love ya Brooke ,I’m so excited for this new chapter of your life
Brooke what about an over the door mirrored jewlrey holder? It has a mirror on the front and opens to store ur stuff but hangs on the backnof ur door like a shoe rack or towel rack!
Thriving. Absolutely thriving. It suits you! You look so happy! Which makes me happy! You deserve this!!! Get it girl! And yes, you are cool. I have a feeling positive/great things are heading your way!!!
u look so happy, congrats on everything! i live in NYC so i know the tiny closet struggle. i recommend using command hooks on the back of ur closet door or another door for maybe hats, sweatshirts, bags, etc.
Hi queen! you've done it again constantly raising the bar. I am so happy for you! I hope you have a great time and make tons of memories! have a great day girly!
idk if she’s still in NY but do you know Audrey Peters from tiktok? She’s blonde and has reviewed NY restaurants and dating advice and business advice etc. She iconically told us to not trust boys who sleep w their beds in the corner and not against the wall and the ones that only have one pillow 😂 I think she would make an amazing guest on the podcast!! Highly recommend watching her tiktoks
I’d def suggest the hanging jewelry thing i have one on the back of my closet door held up by a command strips and it lays flat and saves soooo much space
I’m beyond excited for you Brooke! Super pumped to see your next chapter of life...I feel like this move to NYC has been a long time coming ❤️ also could you mount that big mirror lengthwise on a wall to give the illusion of move space/openness? With regard to windows and privacy you could get sheer white curtains or window film and put it half way up so you still get natural light and can see out but when you’re changing clothes or lounging in bed you don’t necessarily have to close the blinds.
I cant get over your hair! It looks SO good! I also think its so awesome by the time you settle down in your forever home you will have lived in multiple states, major cities and who knows where else! AND We love a gal on the go who is always bettering herself
Girl each vid I watch of you, I become more and more in LOVE with your channel. Keep doing you girl, your videos truly give me a sense of escape from reality😍😍
These moving vlogs marks 1 year of me watching you and within no time at all you have become my all time FAV youtuber. I am so excited for this new chapter for you! Congrats on the move to your dream city Brooke! 💛
You could get really cute hooks for your jewelry & put those anywhere in your room :) Also for rings etc you could get tiny bowls or plates to lay them in. They’re so many cute ones out there:) Love the new place, so happy for you!
GIRLFRIEND you are literally THRIVING lately living your best life despite the current state of the world and I am LIVING FOR IT!!!!!! proud of you queen you deserve it more than anything
Maybe you can place the jewelry stand on the window sill where your picture frames are? Love seeing the apartment come together and especially love that you are in such a good mindset!! Happy for all of your success
I love your apartment and the moving vlogs! 😍 Why don‘t you put your desk in the living room between the doors of your bedroom and bathroom? I feel like the bedroom is too small for a desk. And then you could also put the nightstand on the other side of the bed, I feel like the space there calls for it lol just my two cents 🤗💕
Everything looks great. Couple of suggestions. Floating shelves for your jewelry on your bedroom walls. Maybe over your nightstand? Hooks on the inside of your closet doors for your clothes for the next day. Shimmy the dresser to the left of your closet so you can open the drawers all the way. That closet door doesn’t open all the way. 😄🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉
Maybe put the bed on raisers and put come cube shelves sideways under your bed for more storage? Thinking back to the college dorm days lmfao. Love the place its so small and cute and you seem so happy and bright!! Such good energy and vibes coming from NYC Brooke :,)
Your jewelry organizer would look cute on the windowsill with the real plants you want to get and you could spray paint your marble shower curtain hooks black or silver or something! Since your apartment is smaller, definitely look into organization options for your walls like shelves.
I think your soul was meant to live and thrive in New York. The past few vlogs your light from within really shines when you bring it up. It’s great to see your growth from your 9-5 in Boston living such a mundane life to now living freely and on your terms. Keep manifesting and enjoying your 20’s! Can’t wait to see where you will be in a few months considering how much you’ve grown to this moment. Sending lots of light and love!!!!
Hey Brooke I love your apartment so much and I’m so happy for you!! To create more space in your bedroom you could possibly put your bed up against the opposite wall next to the door so your night stand would be right next to the door when you walk in! Just a suggestion :)
For the jewelry storage, I stored mine on an old tie rack and command stripped it to the wall and loved it, took up so much less space and was pretty too! So I feel like any type of hooks or wall hangings would help utilized jewelry storage in a different and more effective way!
You could put together a hanging jewelry organizer inside the closet door and hang it there? And your apartment is a dreammmm!! So cute and cozy, I love it!
The apartment looks so good so far, I'm so happy for you! I've been loving watching your moving process, I'm moving into a new apartment in NYC at the end of the month so this has gotten me super excited!
Omg Brooke... I’m so happy for you. Truly you’re beaming with joy. You doing this makes me want to pack up and legit go live the life you’re living. I hope your first night was awesome, and settling in is a breeze 💞 can’t wait for more videos on apartment organizing and just life in NYC as an independent woman
i am so excited for you!! you just seem so happy in this vlog and it makes me happy to see that!! like many others have said, i have noticed the growth and progress you have made over the past year or so. you are so genuine and real, you never try to act like someone that you aren't, and that's why you're one of my faves to watch!! hope you're loving nyc and can't wait to see more city vlogs :)))
Socially distant park hangouts + takeout are the move in NYC right now. I think some restaurants are doing a better job than others with outdoor seating so I’m not entirely comfortable but up to you!
You can put command hooks on the inside of the closet doors, or like one of those clear acrylic shelf things people used for nail polish or sunglasses on the inside of the door. That way it’s hidden away but still organized ☺️
I've been going through a rough time recently and seeing how happy you look in this video makes me so happy!! I honestly see a lot of myself in you and seeing you live out your dream is so inspiring :) I can tell you've really grown and I'm really proud of you!
I have a suggestion for ur extra sweatshirts!! If u don’t mind folding them you could get a metal target bin for them or just fold them and keep them above ur hanging stuff in the closet (: not sure if that helps but it’s what I do and as long as they’re folded nicely it works pretty well
Hey Brooke! I have never commented before but I just wanted to say thank you so much for continuing to upload during these crazy times! I have had horrible anxiety for the past week and your videos truly helped me keep my mind off things! My dream is to live in NYC for Grad school in a few years and I am so excited to get a sneak peek at what life will be like through your point of view!
Hi brooke!! Just an idea from an avid peloton user, i got a thin exercise mat to go under my bike. It really helps if you are sweating a lot or have water dripping so you don’t get your floor/rug dirty! Love the ny content!!
I love living vicariously through this! You seem so excited about being here, so happy for you! I loved this vlog and cannot wait to see more of your new life in NYC!
I saw on some other youtuber's channel awhile back where there's a standing mirror that is also a jewelry cabinet. The mirror opens like a door, and behind it you can hang all your jewelry, sunglasses & etc. Perhaps you can find it on amazon or something. Also I am living vicariously through you as my dream is to move to NYC.....so am so happy seeing you happy in your new place. Can't wait to see you explore your area in vlogs!! Congratulations once again, you deserve so much happiness and success!! Sending lots of love & light from Toronto!!
Bulletin board can be used as a cute decorative jewlery spot- hang it on the wall & you can cover it with a fabric that matches your decor. Then get cute pins.
If you want more hanging space in the closet you could fold your sweatshirts and put in a bin. You could put it on the top shelf of the closet, or the floor of the closet, or under your bed since you said you wanted to use that space for storage.
maybe to save space in your closet you could use soda can pop tabs (so hard to explain). since they have two holes it’s super easy to loop it over one hanger, and then you use the second hole to hang another hanger! i’ve used this hack before when i lived in a place with a smaller closet :-)
It's gorgeous!! Your happiness is contagious :) since you're in the city now I feel like a pod swap with Jordyn Rebecca would be sooo good, would love to hear you guys chat post-grad, careers, life, etc!
Definitely feel like i’m your bestie as well, its kinda weird when I realize though that I know so much about you but you know almost nothing about us :( sad reality, but living through you and your move has been so satisfying I love it. Keep doing you girl you’re killin it
My apartment has all hardwood and I cannot begin to tell you how visibly dusty and dirty it gets! Obviously you clean your rugs, but it doesn’t show the mess as much! Rugs are very practical
I would suggest getting a jewelry box! It's easy to place on any surface and it keeps everything safe. I found that when I had a similar organizer, my jewelry oxidized. I got my jewelry box off of mejuri, one of the best investments I've made!
You handled the moving process so well!! ( passive viewer here) I suffer from signifcantly bad OCD, which has made life during this pandemic especially difficult. But watching your moving vids to New York gives me so much reassurence on my move from MN to Alabama !! So thanks!
You could get a bulletin board and some cute push pins and hang your jewelry on them. Plus you could always glue a tray or something to it to hold rings and stuff. You could hang the board on the wall and that way you won’t be taking up any needed storage or extra space that could be used for something else.
You are absolutely beaming in this video! I've been a sub since college days lol so seeing you go from Boston to NYC is just so exciting and hope you're still loving everything!
For your jewelry you can get some organizers from the container store, I use one of their acrylic wall mounted necklace holders that I command stripped to the inside of my closet door. For your other bracelets and earrings and rings they have these really nice organizers called Stackers or something like that. They are really aesthetic and compact. 10/10 for use of space
You could always buy some hanger space savers from Amazon so you can put some clothes that you don’t wear often on their and save a lot of closet space!
for your jewelry - i have a suuuuper small bedroom in my apartment and i just put thumbtacks on the walls of my closet and hung it on there! not the prettiest but it worked for me and saved space!
For your jewelry, you could hang it on the back of your closet door, like on the inside of the door! I’ve seen cute gold hooks in stores before that are command hook-esque but much cuter!
