I just decluttered about 60 fragrances- some were old and so not a big loss. Some are just no longer working for me. I realized that if I get a dupe from DUA, the ones which seem to work out the best are the very spendy ones like Guerlian Tonka Imperiele, going for $500. I probably would never get a chance to try some of these lux items unless I bought the dupe. Babycat and Bianca Latte- also great dupes.
I just purchased my first two DUAs because I fell in love with some LV perfumes that are well over $400 and I want to find some dupes. Hopefully they’re close 🤞🏼 Thanks for sharing! ❤️

I recently let go to a lot of my patchouli heavy fragrances except for Angel Eau Croisiere 2019. I prefer that note to be in the background as opposed to the star of the show.
For me, I'm finding my love for something disappears after the juice matures. Something in it gets stronger that didn't stand out before or the thing I love disappears. The few fragrances that have remained in my top loves seem to not be affected by this. Previous tops get replaced with something in its category that's more consistent in what I want for that fragrance. Unrealistically waiting for the day my top loves are solidified 😂. I would need to want to repurchase them as well. If not, they get kicked out.
Omg same! I cut out a part of my video where I mention that La Vie Est Belle Oui is on the chopping block for this very reason. It just got too strong and lost its light, fruity appeal 💔 One fragrance that has stood the test of time for me is Acqua Di Gioia. I’ve bought bottles and after over a decade I still love it.
@@rebecacollazo Acqua di Gioia is a classic. I have 7 loved fragrances that I haven't been running through to allow the juice to mature, and I'm still loving their smell. They either stayed the same or the sweeter/woodier/muskier/whatever it got, the better. Waiting to see if that hopefully happens with 5 others 🤞🏾...you just never know. Black Opium le parfum is one. I've gone through a travel, a 50 mL, and now on the 90, and it still hits even if the coffee note got a little stronger with time. Before it was entirely vanilla, still mostly is but yeah. Unfortunately, the jasmine in Libre edt became Thanos out of nowhere loool
I decluttered two Middle Eastern perfumes. Royal Niche Vert which is a close dupe to My Way but I prefer My Way and Ajayeb Portrait where everyone seems to get a fresh mango and all I get is a spicy masculine of some sort of fruity mess on my skin. 🤢 After seeing this one raved by all of the RU-vidrs, I have started to develop trust issues with some creators! 😅😂 Not with you because I know our taste are like 95% perfect match and I value your opinions on perfumes… but let’s say I now have a list of creators I don’t trust anymore with eyes closed! 😉 I also decluttered a few perfumes I was just tired wearing like Gucci Bamboo edt and Bronze Goddess Azur. I’m so curious about the new Acqua Di Gioia! I loved the OG but it was a 10 minutes story on my skin so I didn’t bother upgrading to a full bottle after my travel spray was done… hoping this one will last longer! Have a great week! ❤
Oh no! 🙈 Now I’m so curious about this Ajayeb Portrait, I haven’t heard about it! I don’t watch as much perfume content like I did before. I watch a few of my faves but most of my time on RU-vid is spent watching True Crime videos and old Judge Judy episodes 😜 Such a shame that Acqua Di Gioia didn’t last, it’s one of my all time faves. I had the same thing happen to me with Ajayeb Portrait. Mango? WHERE?! Even if I can't detect a mango note, I don't smell a nice fragrance. It's a scrubber! After smelling that scent, allowing it to macerate, and then smelling it again, I had to involve three family members. They all hated it! I'd go back to a video, and every time a creator said, “And THIS fragrance right here-Ajayeb Portrait-it is to die for!” I thought to myself, “This HAS TO be a paid sponsorship because there is no way this fragrance smells anything like they're describing.”
@@leilani_808 Every nose picks different notes in a perfume but sometimes I wonder why I’m the only one not picking these notes! 😆😆 Glad I’m not the only one!
@@Ki55yface lmao I get what you're saying and that's why I don't wear it in winter. The cold air brings out that earthy powder, dusty woody thing that can be sharp or too cold to my nose. It's a good type of fresh and the rose is sweeter when it's warm out. Also gives me grey clouds vibes, so now I just wear during warm, humid rainy days and not cold ones. Their 40 mL is enough for me since I only use it then or for grand occasions. Try it out then, if not it's just not for you 😂 and that's okay.
