The car engine revving just gave me flashbacks to an apartment I was living a few years ago. My bedroom windows were facing traffic light and the amount of people (honestly it was always guys) who would rev their engine the whole time while waiting for a green light 😭😭 It was like every twenty minutes, including at night. I was honestly unwell. It's crazy how much can noise affect someone's mood and mental health. I don't know why are some people so inconsiderate.
I am extremely happy for you!!! ❤🌱😊 Ever since I was a child I have been struggling with depressions and every winter it gets worse. I am quite a fresh plant parent, but roaming the local garden centers and caring for my plants has made this winter so much easier! I trying not to buy too many plants 😅 but every planty purchase lightens up my mood! 😉 I wish you all the best and Hope your spirits lightens up with the upcoming spring! I didn’t start buying plants for mental health, but as time has progressed, I’ve noticed they really help with my mental. It’s such a serene hobby. Saying hello to each one every morning, afternoon, and night. The new growth makes me feel successful and loved. ❤❤
Hoya carnosa ‘Holliana’ is pretty special ❤️ It is a cultivar that originated in the US. It is a very slow grower and pretty uncommon in the trade. Truly unique one 💗 I hope it grows well 😊

You are gonna love the Hoya Walliana. I have a massive hanging basket of it. It is awesome. I just got a red Miranta about a month ago and she is growing like 8 new leaves at once. Enjoy your babies!! ❤❤❤
I just got a maranta silver band too! I begged my partner to pick it up at a greenhouse in another city while he was there for work and I told him, it’s the first time I’ve seen it for sale in Canada! I’m in New Brunswick- now I’ve just got to help it survive through the rest of the winter in my dry home haha

I´m kind of surprised that the maranta is so hard to get your hands on over there...I´m from Slovakia and it´s usually the opposite, it´a bit hard to get many plants here that I see often in unboxing in US an Kanada or other countries and the silver band and other marantas are literally everywhere here for just a few buckc...it was 50 euros (around 54 dollars) about a year ago now it´s much cheaper...I´m glad it found it´s way to you, keeping my fingers crossed it will be happy in your home :) loved the whole unboxing and now I have to put a hoya holliana on my wishlist :D

That is so sweet of her to send you the extra plants!!! I just had all the glass in my house windows replaced . I had to remove my window pet door kitties use to go out into their out door kennel. I bought the same insulation you did in three sizes to be able to reseal the window pet door when I put it back in.
I wish I could post a photo to show you my silver band! I recently cut all the old growth off because underneath it was hiding the most beautiful iridescent purple hues on the new growth. 😍 it’s a favorite of mine by far! You’re going to love watching it grow and move

Silver band tip - I just discovered by accident that if it gets a little too much light the band and veins turn fuchsia and the dark spot turn black. 😍
I am beyond happy for you for the silver band 😍😍I have one from a little less than a year and I bought her a self watering pot as soon as possible and she LOOOOOOVED it, my variegata lives in a shelf above her and my lack of consist watering those past months are really noticeable on the variegata in a regular pot + cover pot vs my silver band in her self watering pot! ( both in aroid mix : coco coir,perlite, coco chips, activated charcoal, pumice and osmocote! I have a pink dragon and I feel so lucky about it because same in 🇫🇷, we don’t find them anymore! Can’t wait to see your aurea 😍💖💛💚

Hi fern love the plants but I just wanted to let you know that Robert Plant Greenhouse in Ottawa sell the silver band maranta. We pot plants might be the only place that ship but they are still available in store. 😊
I just had to look at mine - pick it up at Home Depot in California for $10 twice the size of yours. Also found 4 inch pot on a sales rack lemon lime maranta for under $3.50. Had a red maranta a few years back and it didn’t do well. Since the lemon lime did well so I got the silver one😊. Good luck with all your new plant babies.

that’s great the electric pink looks stunning. my plant mail just arrived ytd too i ordered from shopee the seller actually dm me that the one that i wanted was sold to someone else i didnt reply bc the order was supposed to be canceled since she didnt have the one i wanted anymore but she sent me non variegated syngonium instead without even asking! she even acted as if she is so kind putting two pots for me but syngoniums are super cheap where i live like the 2 pots tgt prolly cost around $1 i was so pissed lol

I wasn't expecting the wishlist plant to be something I already have ( as a casual plant parent ) bought from a local garden center for like...10 euros. Funny how some plants are 'rare' in some places are perfectly common in others.

congratulations 🥰🥰 I have my maranta in wall planter and when the stems are getting longer she start to hang, I'm so interested how will you style it and where you will put her! So nice plant to have greenery in darker spots :) such a cute healthy hoya! I'm obssesed with hoyas too. And small leaf ones even more :D
i also recently got a silver band, it was only 25$ for a bushy plant! 🤯😍 + the same labisia haha! i live in Quebec, glad were finally getting those cool plants that the US have available since like months/years 😂
I don’t know why but you seem to open them with ease while I have to tear the paper into shreds and pull miles of tape off. And at some point I’m usually stuck to the tape and paper
silver band is soo cute! i just got a cat mustache cutting off etsy and am obsessed with maranta. i have not seen full plants of cat mustache anywhere but in europe but i live in the us :( love all of your videos!! thanks for the amazing content.
