First Race of 2023 plus Pro and cons 

Love the finish line 😂. Hens on 8-10 day eggs are awesome they scream home to the eggs. First race birds are always a little jumpy. Love your excitement. There’s nothing better than sitting in the backyard on race day watching your pigeons come home. Very nice returns. Good luck

You want to lift or two of the middle Bob wires and they’ll walk through better … they don’t like the full cover of Bob wires but lifting them all up gives them the chance of 1. Going through too quick and missing the pad 2.the ones inside can get out Hence just lift one or two of the middle ones and they will go through better I did it for 40 years

A little corn tin to shake to get them down. Ybs first race, nerves and like you have said not had chance for the blockers. Hope the rest make it and share results. Well done team.

When did you put in the blockers at either side of the bob wires??this might be the answer to the bad trap

Hope you got back most, if not all 18, I think the first race nerves kicked in days ago with you and would I be right in saying you guys fed them on basketing day ?. Disaster with trapper, needs his flights cut right down

Set the bobwires the other side of the timing pad. Look at D&D aviaries or similar for idea

Their trapping the way you have taught them, next week when they drop .get them straight in and feed them. Any that don't get much feed will be in first the next time. Next week they will be strait through the bods.
