My opinion is that the video is depicting the way young men deal with heart break by pretending not to care and living a destructive lifestyle when in reality they are extremely depressed and lonely. Perfect juxtaposition with the beautiful song playing over it.

The video and song go hand in hand. When someone has their heart broken they fall in to a depression and try to mask it with distractions. If you listened to the lyrics it’s talking on the topic of finding distractions but still end up thinking back on that person. The video shows degenerates acting like they’re having the time of their lives but they’re just broken people trying to forget but in the end it's not exactly going well and they still catch a "Glimps" of the woman that they were once with. The lyrics talk about looking for their past lover in a new one as well hence the "Said, "I'm fine" and said, "I moved on" I'm only here passin' time in her arms Hopin' I'll find a glimpse of us" Hope that helped!

After seeing multiple reactions, I believe that there's a select few people who can really understand this piece in its entirety. The video doesn't directly relate to the lyrics. For people like me though, it fits perfectly. It all makes sense. I cried when I listened to it for the first time.

im honestly surprised so many people dont get/like the video. I fucking love the video and at times prefer the song with the video rather than by itself. The chaos of it all spiraling out of control emotionally really boosts the experience for me.

With the lyrics it helps to understand. He’s talking about a past relationship that he’s no longer in and he keeps looking for reminders of the ex in the new girl he’s seeing. Hence the “just passing time in her arms” and “looking for a glimpse of us in this new girl’s eyes”. As for the video, I see it as heartbroken men who are leading a self destructive life. Good reaction though. Joji is a really great artist.

You should listen more to Joji! He has a lot of good songs. He also has albums like BALLADS1 and NECTAR, which has a lot of great songs. I'd suggest listening first to SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK & SANCTUARY as these are one of the songs that are amazing.

That's it. Think of it like a score to a movie. Beautifully playing to the self destruction of his self as his heart grows more broken. Think of young men trying to cope without the right tools. Just fast cars,empty love,drugs and violence the void is filled only by time and other pain.

I think the video is a representation of how young men act out like this when they have strong emotions they don't know how to process (the text messages) and the song is about looking for an ex in all his future relationships and struggling with "if she's so perfect then why do I still wish it was you?"

Opposite? Nah, that's just how some people cope with depression and loneliness, if you aren't careful you end up with self-destructive behavior or trying to unalive yourself. This just what it is, they're not opposite, they go hand in hand, most people just have self control and don't fall into a self destructive behavior. I'm glad you think that way, you don't want to go down that path.

Absolutely heartbreaking... and the heart just KEEPS breaking throughout this video; it's relentless & doesn't seem to end. This is a very poignant, sad, introspective and fantastic piece of art: depicting self sabotage, when we push someone we love away, and how heartbreaking and life-affecting that is.

Maybe it’s just me but I think it’s trying to show how some men deal w break up. Men are always shown as the ones that end things or go from one relationship to another, but this video shows how the toxic relationships of the guy in red and yellow are in and how effected they are about it. It also shows how their only coping skills are violence to property and themselves. It’s an honest depiction of what men experience after a break up or rough times in a relationship.

in every reaction video ive noticed they interpret the lives of these men as being the reason they lost the person they loved but from where im sitting it seems like this is the result of losing them, mindless distractions to numb the pain of missing someone that is now out of reach reminding yourself of the love you two had while looking into the eyes of someone new. pretending to be okay and over it when you are just distracting yourself by trying to replace the love you wish you still had no matter how good the person you are with now is.

This song is a representation of someone who is still in love with their ex partner. Rebounding with anyone that was available and trying to settle into a relationship with them because every now and again they remind [you] of what you've lost and the relationship you once had. Only here wasting time in your arms, hoping to find a "Glimpse of us". It's a self destructive cycle with no one to blame (not even ones self). It merely is and that's what it is.

Beautiful song but the music video was ridiculous. Seems like he just editing some clips on the internet and put together. Wish Joji could get spend some money to make a more professional video. This song could make some real impact ion the chart
