The music video for 'Ich Will' focuses on how the media sensationalizes violence, and how the people who watch tend to idolize and emulate the criminals featured, as a result. It's an interesting music video to be sure.

As i know, snow-white is like a sun (sonne) for dwarfs (rammstein members), so the song is about the sun that it's the most beautiful star but the same star blinds those who wish to look at it. Like in video snow-white abuses dwarfs so they get gold for her, and even while they are suffer, they love their sun, and when she dies they get some kind of freedom which pains them, and then she's not dead so...hard work continues. Idk realy, it's one way of interpritation that i know.

Having understood the meaning of the video, you can't watch it without tears. The name of the song is translated from German as the Sun. Snow White in the video is the Sun. No matter how dangerous the sun is, they love it. same with Snow White - she treats the dwarves badly, but they love her anyway. the sun appears again and again, everyone is happy with it, even though it burns. When SW died, the sun supposedly came down and the world plunged into darkness. At one point 4:28 window behind Snow White is the nimbus. (Excuse me for grammatic mistakes in Eng. I'm from Russia)

I tink for some of us out there- well me anyway, one of my first real sightings of Rammstein was in the Vin Diesel movie "XXX" in 2002. They're in the movie burnin' up a club with the song Feuer Frei. Du Hast had put them big on the radar , but I remember seeing them onscreen in action- albeit from a movie- in that particular film. Sonne is defo one of their most known songs, and its instantly catchy, slamming riff is a good start to the band. Im not the biggest fan per se, but the songs I like from 'em, I really like. Still reckon too, that their show in the 3Arena in 2012 was one of the best, exciting spectacles Ive witnessed live. You gotta check out the intro to that gig, brotha. THAT is how you make an entrance! Top reaction, man. And I hope yis had a brill time at the Slipknot show. I thought it was bloody amazing.

FUNFACT FROM GERMANY: Rammstein's original idea for a music video for "Sonne - Sun" was the dropping of the atomic bomb "Little Boy" on Hiroshima! In a German interview, Paul Landers said that they originally wanted to denounce the cruelty and inhumanity of the nuclear weapons. The song with the video should be a criticism of all nuclear weapons. The video was to show the 6 band members as bomber crew of the B29, who in their mission dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and thus released the sunlight. This means the extreme heat and the light of the explosion. The 10 seconds counted is the time from dropping to detonation. The idea for the video was discarded because the band didn't want to attract attention with the negative press.

The meaning of this song is pretty obvious once you notice the apples in the video are meant as an analog to the forbidden fruit from the Garden of Eden. It's about how the fruit and the gold and the sun all represent double edged swords in that they can all be either a blessing or a curse depending on the circumstances. The sun = fire = knowledge = the tree of knowledge of good and evil = forbidden fruit and the double edged sword.

In behind the scenes video. They chose the story of Snow White because not only is it a German classic. There is a point in the story where Snow White is in her coffin and the prince askes one of the Dwarves if they would part with Snow White so he could take her for himself. The Dwarf answered something along the lines of "No, for she is our sunshine." So I guess "Here comes the sun." Is the same in the clip of 'Here comes Snow White."

The miners/servants even want to be punished by her, because they adore her. Like most people adore money. It's a love/hate reletionship with money.

The song is basically about the Sun. Or metaphorically about hope.

The song might be originally written for a boxer, but as Klichko turned it down the band tried to interpret the song in a different way in there video. For me this is a story about the power that buatiful women has over men. Snow White comes into there lives and becomes its meaning. For miners, how barely see the surface she is like a sun. That's why every time she appears on the screen we here "Here comes the sun" in German.

The song is about over indulgence and vices. Things that seem to be a good thing at first but can get out of hand and become a very bad thing. The sun gives us warmth but fly to close to it and... Yea lol. Like her first snorting the "drugs" and then overdosing once she decided to use it intravenously. I also read at first they were going to have the song be about nuclear war but I am unsure how true that is.

Watching this in Ohio. Rammstein is not very well known here. Not much airplay on the radio because they sing in German. They are coming to the U.S. this summer. They are really good and heavy. I guess you call it industrial metal. Sort of Germany's answer to Metallica meets Judas Priest meets Ozzy with lots of fire and explosions.

As a kid I just thought it's lit that they portrayed Snow White like that with a bad ass song. Isn't that enough? Don't read too much into fun stuff.

This song makes up part of my dna. Maybe it's because i don't speak German, but i see the music videos as being separate to the songs, at least pre 2019. Obviously some of the visuals might be related somehow (Amerika/Mutter), but for the most part they aren't giving the same messages as the songs.

I don't think they're trying to portray anything in particular. I'd say they were being evocative of mood with tone and imagery .. rather than being particular with a message that makes sense. Personally, i think that's the right way to go about it. Leave the logic and details to the imagination.
