As always Carlie GREAT REACTION to Elvis Presley's God given gifts and talents! You'll meet Elvis in Heaven. His cousin says he rededicated his life to Christ near the end of his life. God bless you Carlie. Keep up the good work.
"Blue Suede Shoes" was written & first recorded by American singer, songwriter & guitarist Carl Perkins in 1955. It is considered one of the first rockabilly records. Elvis recorded it a year later. Love watching his performances in this comeback special!
What you’ve witnessed is one of the most charismatic humans God blessed us with in modern times. It was said by multiple people that when Elvis came into a room that you could feel his presence before you even saw him and once you saw him you couldn’t take your eyes off of him. He exuded charisma. I’m 68 and I was blessed to have seen him in concert New Years Eve 1976. A definite high point of my life.. TCB⚡️
...find 1970 Las Vegas live: BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER.....Paul Simon (who wrote the song), when he saw Elvis do it, said....'how can you compete with that?'....plus, 1968 comeback: MEMORIES in the black leather suit.....you WILL enjoy.
my 100 disc garage stereo VD is FULL of Elvis.... I get it.... you can't stand still... I was 10 when he passed.... even then....before he died I was ordering Elvis via the RCA 8 track club..... bummed I never got to see him in concert.....
Thanks for another great reaction to & appreciation of another great performance by Elvis. Not only an amazing singer, but also an incredible entertainer. Btw - in Angelina's cover of Suspicious Minds, as a tribute to Elvis she wore a black leather jumpsuit & played that same red Hagstom guitar model.
I don't know if it is a compliment or demoralizing for the original artists to hear Elvis knock their song out of the park. This is so much better than the original
Great artist, Paul Simon, after seeing his song Bridge Over Troubled Water performed by Elvis said something to the effect that he (Simon) might as well not sing it again (I forget the exact quote).
Carlie, I love your journey and your reactions to Elvis! Thank you! You have to react to "Memories" and "Trying To Get To You" and all the other songs from the 68 Special :) ❤
The people in the audience were more calm because they were told to be. It was a small stage and it could have gotten ugly. I love watching you become and Elvis fan :) Now you know how so many of us feel :)
Another classy reaction which is a joy to watch. As an avid fan of several decades I have never really discovered or could fully explain why he is my favourite amongst many brilliant performers other than the similarity of a guy competing in an Olympic decathlon where he is not the best at any of the 10 events but added together comes out on top.
Your reactions to Elvis are great, Shea, and they reflect the effect Elvis had--and still has--on people. The women in the audience were relatively chilled because at that time audience were generally more inhibited. It could also be partially attributed to there still being some remnants of Elvis' cultural controversy at the time and the urge to appear "proper" in that particular group.
When Elvis first appeared on TV...it was the Ed Sullivan show and they would only show him from the waist up...they thought his moves were too vulgar! Yes..I am that old that I saw that show!
Did you see that guitar? It was the one that Angelina Jordan was paying tribute to in her rendition of Suspicious Minds. Just really, really cool to see!
Hi. I love your reaction videos. I was 12 when he died. I was in my room listening to Elvis the sun colection on my record player when mom came in and told me he just died. I am a fan my whole life. You seem so genuine when you watch his videos. Your reactions are so cute. Would it be possible to watch Dixiland rock from the movie King Creole? Also you should watch this movie. Its my favorite of them all.
You need to check out more performances from his vegas shows from the 1970 That's the way it is documentary. polk salad annie, bridge over troubled water and love me tender to name afew 👏
Lot of these girls are the “gate girls” as they were known..for years they stood outside his various homes..I watched podcast on. their accounts..they saw him all the time going to work and coming home. They got tickets and invites to this filming. . Many Elvis knew by name so that’s why they were relatively calm and not grabbing at him.
C - You're still missing the performance that shows his love affair with his fans. That was the 1970 Las Vegas performance of "Love Me Tender" - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BeTurYZuY4A.html You can't "get" Elvis until you see this one!
You should view more of the 68, special. also his movie songs baby your so square, jailhouse rock, hound dog from the milton berle show, or stage show appearances, ready teddy from Ed Sullivan. Or the songs from king creole and spinout soundtrack.
I enjoy your reaction videos. You seem to sincerely enjoy the music you cover. I have a strong aversion to reactors' talking during the singing. Thanks for not doing that. I like the fact that you pause the videos. Also, I've been an Elvis fan since the age of 3, when I first heard Peace in the Valley. I'm 58 now, and still listen to Elvis at least once weekly. From South Africa.
A great reaction video to a rock n' roll classic. I highly recommend this song to you - Club des Belugas and Iain Mackenzie - Wearing Out My Shoes. It is a very enjoyable beautiful music piece, pretty mysterious and unusual too. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wTF0vXHxdA0.html
