4:54 Paul McCoy: "SAAAVE MEEE!" Justice: "SAVE HERRR!" 🤣 The girl that is singing is Amy Lee, the lead vocalist of Evanescence and one of the most recognizable and powerful singing voices in rock music.
Amy's vocals is phenomenal. Hahahaha, Everyone says; why does he drop her? The song is about longing, wanting for that connection. Unspoken frustrations and fears, surprising desires we feel we have to go for but afraid to and sometimes we fall. So for me he doesnt let her go, shes wanting to go with him but reluctant which causes her to fall. Hence the back and forth struggle. Thank goodness shes only dreaming. Thanx, Peace
I love watching these reactions as people discover other music. Too many people think the music of now is the best all and end all. Humanity has been around for hundreds, hundreds, hundreds of years and music has been part of it. One thing I always think of is people’s reaction to opera. Opera began as the music of the common people and workers. Yes it’s in Italian and such but that is where it started. Some operas are pretty raunchy. And it’s not just music, think of pizza or lobster, they were considered the food of the poor. If you ate lobster you couldn’t afford real food. Things change, humanity is constantly evolving, changing, learning, and it is so nice to see people giving things a chance. Thank you for that
Scents and sound will always trigger memory. 20 some years ago I was smart enough to have this song playing when something great happened!! This is a beautiful song and will always bring back a wonderful memory!!
They are one of my favorite bands from all times although many of the original members are not in it anymore, Amy Lee is such an incredible vocalist, her range is pretty amazing! She's a mezzo-soprano and she can go from very low notes to very high ones in the blink of an eye... She's also a great songwriter and has won awards for that talent... I simply love her ❤
This is one of their first songs as well as one of their most popular. This song and music video are depicted in the movie underworld. The cityscape is reminiscent of that movie
This song rocketed Evanescence into the mainstream because it was on the Ben Affleck “Daredevil” soundtrack. Before that movie this band was mostly a college/bar circuit band from Little Rock Arkansas. Amy Lee has an angels voice..literally!
Evanescence - Amy Lee is very much an emotional singer and most songs have heavy lyrics, including two she wrote, about her little sister, who died when they were young and she wrote “Hello” and “Like You” or her sister. She also wrote her song “Call Me When You’re Sober” about the end of her marriage to Shaun Morgan of the band “Seether”.
Yes you said it right. Did you know that Gotham is actually New York City ? My Immortal is a must. If I'm remembering correctly but guy that is holding her up from at the window he actually isn't part of the band. Her label keeps wanting to put a male lead co-lead into the group since you said that we are getting you into rock Dan vasc who is a metal singer does tons of covers
Gotham City is not that far off 😂. This is from the soundtrack from another DC Universe superhero movie Daredevil (2003) starring Ben Affleck, who later played Batman 😅😅 If you are looking for new bands to react to I would suggest Wagakki Band from Japan. They did a concert with a complete orchestra with Amy Lee as guest singer. They did this song as a duet with the band's female lead singer, and she also featured on their song Senbonzakura. Very special.
I think this song is a masterpiece and I love it. In fact, it's one of my favorite songs. it's nice to see how you enjoy this music video. Since you liked this, I suggest you another equally insanely good band and song to listen to. Try Nightwish - "Ghost love score" live T Wacen 2013 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-47e_961OQWE.htmlsi=6qRMITRggIg0-abt
Her singing is good but she has depressing words in her songs. For those who have had suicides in their families or those who feel suicidal, I don't recommend them listening to her music.
He did not physically drop her, nor did she try to physically pull him with her. That's a metaphor for how she's emotionally drowning. No matter what you try to do, some people are emotionally lost. Her falling is drowning in her own despair and depression. The line, "save me from the nothing I've become." Is a fitting metaphor
This song came out so long ago, I was a teen, and I can still remember being blown away by this song and by Amy Lees voice and it's really nice to see someone hearing it for the first time and experiencing the same thing.
Voice like an angel is more like it plus be a beautiful like that. Check out my immortal. I can't remember names of every song, but I've loved this group from the beginning. And they've got a ton of really Great songs
Drowning Pool...Bodies is another great one and Limp Bozkit " Break Stuff" and check out Ice ts' metal band Bodycount.. Also Guns.n.'Roses... "Welcome to the Jungle" and " November Rain😍🤘
Because I have severe epilepsy, and Amy also has epilepsy I love that she is a person who speaks up about epilepsy. Because epilepsy is not talked about enough.
Here's a true story for you they wanted Amy Lee to dress skimpy showing off her body like Britney spears. She said No!!! I want people to listen to my music and not like me for my body..what happened to her music career after that..History repeating itself ?? Canceled
Just a hint, Amy the singer was engaged to one of her band members and they had broken up. But by far the best song you NEED to see/ hear is My Immortal. Simple, beautiful and quiet, and her voice is top class in it.
You nailed it at 5:04 not many people notice that. She wants to be saved but also is trying to take him down with her. She's indecisive. Thats why he also has the line "save me!". This s**t is deep.
Yay!!!! I have a new channel to watch!!! I found you through your reaction to Rage Against The Machine and I haven’t left yet! Been watching your videos all morning! Thank you!
The early 00s were beautiful times. But they were also dark times. The darkness and cynicism of the 90s carried over into the new millennium and it shows, from music videos to dark graphics to haunting music.
