Faouzia, is a Moroccan-Canadian singer-songwriter and musician best known for her track "Tears Of Gold". Born in Morocco, she moved with her family to Canada at a young age. During that time she learned how to play various instruments, and began composing her first songs. She released several singles and collaborated with many musicians on vocals and songwriting prior to releasing her debut extended play (EP), Stripped, in August 2020. In 2023, she was nominated and was one of the recipients of the Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards

Manitoba developed her love for singing at a very young age and now is breaking out into the mainstream pop realm. Finally, at the age of 22. Faouzia is a relatively unknown singer in Canada and unfortunately she is much more known through her Tik Tok, RU-vid, Instagram, social media following than she is in her home country of Canada. She is an absolutely talented artist. She is a singer- songwriter and writes almost every song you hear, including this one. She speaks three languages, plays three instruments and is just completing her university degree and engineering. She is the real deal ! Beauty, brains and talent area great combination for a young artist. Faouzia writes very relatable songs and her lyrics are very interesting and intelligent ! She has done a world tour of Europe and the UK and the US in the last year or so. Her videos are visually exciting and quite an experience to watch her strip down versions are the one most of her fans really like because all you have is her on the piano or someone on the piano and her voice. I would hardly recommend her stripped down version of "Tears of Gold" in the studio that is an amazing original song. I would look at that next. This is definitely a beautiful song - and you picked the acoustic version which is great! You can also watch her sing it live while playing the piano in her Abu Dhabi concert. You should check out more of her "Stripped" stuff - there's a whole "Stripped" live concert - if you scroll all the way to the end past the credits there's an encore performance of "Elon" that is one of her masterpieces. You’re far from the only one thinking that way outside of two people who want to be different in this comment section, most people who have ever heard her I definitely blown away by her incredible voice. Like you, I first heard this song by her before the other ones. It was in 2019. I’ve been a fan for more than four years now. And believe me, every song gets better and better, especially if you listen to the acoustic ones. I would listen to everything she did up until late 2020 or early 2021, because today it’s been kind of hit or miss since that time sadly to say with her newer music. But she still an incredible talent, you can listen to everything she’s done and get a picture of her journey as an artist.

Still,im getting caught off guard still till this very dayEdit: i recognized her name after awhile,but i still havent sat down to check her out properly before,so i think this is my first time. This is only Faouzia and the mike not with a band and eventhough i hate to compare Faouzia is in another level she is multi-instrumental,write the lyrics to her own songs and as a matter of fact she is collaborating with Kanye West and Ty Dolla on $ign album.
No one even knows what you’re saying. She has a beautiful voice in spite of the vibrato. Beautiful tone that has depth , but also brightness. The vibrato is an acquired taste, but it depends on the culture influence.
