Not sure if you’re interested in the back story, but this album was written while the band was staying at a supposedly haunted estate. They all started experiencing horrible emotional breakdowns, and Gerard (the singer and the one who writes the songs) started having nightmares about his loved ones dying and St. Joan of Arc burning to death in front of him, etc. so the recordings of him talking (“they’re like these tremors, terrors…it’s like I can’t ever wake up”) are his recordings from that time.
A little story about the album. So the album “The Black Parade” is about a patient dying of cancer and the album is his progression through the process and along his journey of the disease he meets death in the form of a parade man who walks along with him. So all of the songs that start off softly like this one are the cancer patient singing and all of the more metal ones are the parade man a.k.a. death if that makes sense
This Song is about the lead singers Night terrors when staying in a haunted hotel, so interesting to see that u got the creepy vibe without knowing the backstory. Cool video :)
