One of the greatest bands that most people have never heard. These guys have been around for over 25 years, they simply are the kings of the dark melancholy style they are unmatched.🎸🎵🎤🔥

Also King’s X - the most underrated band of all time. Plieades or We were born to be loved would be a good start. Right up your street as they are Christians who’s music can be quite spiritual. They are not Christian rock though. If you want that then Stryper is your band 😜🤘

I lived in Sweden for a while Gibby but I’m from Detroit. I love Katatonia and their melodies. they have many great songs after they stopped being dark metal. BUT, their song MY BROTHERS KEEPER killed me, especially after my little brother passed away.

An amazing song off of what may be Katatonia's best album. I have loved this band for 20 years. They have grown so much sonically & lyrically. Dark. Emotive. Beautiful.

Sorry for the follow up. I’m commenting as you’re playing. I never compared them to tools singer but you’re right, he’s got that melodic focus somewhere else where the music is just jammin behind him. Good call
