The Overpass is my favorite song for now, as well as Roaring 20s. One of The Drunks is starting to grow on me.

i agree with you when you say king of the clouds is one of the better songs on the album, because it definitely is. the instrumental sounds trendy but still remains to a panic vibe, and people get mad over it because of the lyrics being written while being high, but has more of the better lyrics on the album

I kinda think the outro part in One of the drunks transitions into The Overpass bc the dude is talking about that sax player putting his sax to the mic and then the main guy says “okay here we go” and then we here the sax on the next song

About the ending of One Of The Drunks, Brendon said in an interview that the guy talking at the end was someone (I forget who) who was working on the album with him.. idk i’m not doing it justice but ultimately they left that in because he [Brendon] felt as though he [the guy] was a big part of it and he needed a little shoutout. Like Brendon was saying he wasn’t the only one working on the album omg anyways..

This came quicker than expected. I think it's a pretty solid album and I'm glad you liked it for the most part. I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about that weird vocal thing he does in the chorus of Dying in LA (during "dying"). I thought that sounded sort of strange and out of place.

I honesty don't like any of the songs on the album which is really disappointing because I love Panic. Thank god for Trench other wise my choices for new emo music this year would be pretty depressing.

The one disagreement w you I have is Rob Mathes yelling at the end of One of the Drunks. It was a cute ending that personally brought up a shit load of memories. Brought me right back to my band director yelling and goofing with everybody. And you're not sure if he's actually mad at you and you fucked up or he's just making some awful shitty dad/music-nerd joke. He captured that feeling v well and I'm glad he has that recorded. I know I recorded my director saying crazy shit all the time. Music directors are some of the best people on this planet, I stand by this, they're all such beautiful souls. Anyway I liked it because it's reminding you like yo this is a bunch of dudes fucking around and making noise together not serious shit

honestly the overpass is a fave of mine and ngl, i was annoyed that you hated the swich up cause it's ICONIC to me. plus saying he didn't sound sentimental but drunk (i know issa joke) but it's lowkey offensive. brendon can and HAS gotten sentimental with a lot of his songs.

Honestly, I am growing to love your videos even more as your channel grows and evolves. I watched your Death Grips review, and I just wanted to say that I love a nice mixture between reaction and review......especially reviews for grower-type albums. Even when I disagree, you're possibly the best music channel at making me appreciate little things I didn't notice or at shedding light on why some parts didn't stick as much. (In my head, you're grouped with TItS and Jon from ARTV and Spectrum Pulse are another group...I don't think I've actually watched much from any of the others) And I think your getting even better at explaining yourself and your taste. That little "sonically, a noxious cloud" metaphor had been stuck in my head for days now. Pray For the Wicked was already an album I liked, but you made me like it more; your fondness for music translates into something very organic, a perfect balance between a technical approach and emotional connection. So thanks for this Bradley. Take care and listen to music you like.

I like how King of the clouds approaches being high like a godly or ascended experience. The same way a hypebeast feels when they got their first Gucci socks on sale. So many people underrate this album and I'm proud that you liked it.

I've only seen one person actually get the meaning of "King of the clouds" correct in these reviews. In order to do so you need to read the opening stanza and relate it to Brendon himself. "Heaven knows that I'm born too late. For these ghosts that I chase." Brendon has stated before that he draws a lot of inspiration from classic singers like Sinatra, and he mentions that he's like "MJ (Michael Jackson) up in the clouds." in Dancing's Not a Crime. Therefor you can assume that the interpretation of King of the Clouds is that Brendon is saying he feels he was born in the wrong era and he relates more to those of the past than those now days. He only trusts those people because he probably sees them as more genuine people who truly loved their craft, vs some of the big stars these days who are only in it for fame or wealth. He says he "doesnt trust anyone bellow the sun" because the only people he trusts are "in the clouds" or "in the afterlife" so to speak (even though he iisn't religious, it's just a metaphor). So he probably uses substance to feel closer to these "ghosts' that he chases".

You should listen to the Vice & Virtues album by Panic! At the Disco. It’s not as bad as a Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, and I think(hope) it’s worth checking out. Also, listen to the deluxe version of V&V(the added songs that come with the deluxe aren’t on Spotify).

I honestly agree with you hear I love the album but by the end it kinda tunes out because it doesn't really flow together from dancing's not a crime and while I love dying in la it also doesn't really fit after a few listens the second half makes the album a bit tiring it's still a solid album and I still love it but it does have it's faults and I used to hate the overpass but it's admittedly grown on me although the bridge is utter shit my least favorite would be dancing's not a crime although I like the feel and such the song itself seems filler and doesn't really fit either theme of the album imo it is enjoyable just kinda background and easily boring at times

Dying in LA I know this looks like a Kanye summer sale but 7 tracks happens to be all the record needs. For what the record is, this is what a 9 or a 10 could be. Maybe tracks 3 and 4 could use some extra work and you have a near perfect record.

I thought besides roaring 20s the singles were the best ones on the album so that made listening to it in full a little underwhelming. Dying in LA felt too much like something from the greatest showman and I just couldn't enjoy it cause I couldn't get that comparison out of my head and it was just way to cheesy for me
