@@rhysdavid6655 Oh shut up dude. If you really hate this album so much then why are you here replying to literally everyone's comments. And I mean judging by your playlists it looks like you are in no position to judge music. I mean criticism is fine but it seems you are giving more than that lol chill
You know what I'd truly love? I really wanna see brad just react to an album he has already heard but thinks doesn't get enough love and like tell us why he loves it so much but in this format so we can experience it with him.
You are really growing as a critic man, the way you articulate your thoughts on the music gets better every video. The editing certainly keeps it interesting as well.
just read the description and saw that i’m gonna have to wait til part 2 to see his thoughts on feels like we only go backwards... This Is A Crime. but i’m excited nonetheless
Yeah I mean lonerism for me was a second listen album for sure. There’s the obvious hits, but on the second listen everything really came together, and it’s without a doubt one of my favorite albums of all time
It’s funny, I wasn’t as well a fan of Endors Toi, but that’s I think one of those songs that you just need to listen a couple of times, now I just love it. Loved your review of Currents, love this one as well. Can’t wait for the 2nd part!
Forgot to mention, incredible editing for this one again. I knew the exact moments that would get the “psychedelic overload” editing treatment. Dog bless
Damn was really hoping you’d love Music To Walk Home By as much as me ☹️☹️ Has got to be my favourite Tame song and I’d consider myself a massive fan!! I just love how it continually builds up and each part improves on each part along the way. Anyway, keep it up Brad I’m only a recent subscriber put really enjoying your shit atm. Looking forward to part 2.
You should totally react to "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" by The Flaming Lips. I don't know if you've heard any of their music, but that's a very beautiful album. Along with their new album that comes out in July. I got that album at record store day and I only played it once, but the soundscape, narration, and singing on the whole thing was beautiful, just like on Yoshimi. So I hope you give it a try, if you haven't already.
Your vids introduced me to Tame Impala during the start of the pandemic and Apocalypse Dreams soon became my favorite song of theirs. I quickly made it as my alarm sound and it has stayed that way for a few years now. I have to say, coming back to this vid and listening to it again feels real weird.
I am discovering this album this week too. And this whole month of obsession spawned from their set on Coachella curated week one. I had never heard them before. And no build up or spoiler of a great band to play that night just started watching and was enveloped in their music. They are 110% my favorite band at this time.
I've always thought this album was similar in feel and sound to Sgt. Peppers and Pet Sounds. It was almost as if it would be the music of those two fantastic bands but today. Maybe but I'm crazy but listening to all three records back to back to back is amazing.
Yes. That reaction to Apocalypse Dreams was perfect. I remember when my brother played this album for me in his car back in 2012-13. He was taking me home from school. He said bro check this album out the singer sounds like John Lennon but the music is like Flaming Lips. I was intrigued but kinda overwhelmed with the first two tracks, But THAT moment in apocalypse dreams fucking blew my mind and I went like "Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit". This reaction video reminded me of the first time I heard this album and it's a nice feeling to have back. And then Mind Mischief blew my mind. Then the whole album really.
You should listen to power lines which is a b-side from currents. Its one of my favorite songs from him along with mind mischief and others i dont feel like typing. Highly reccom.!!!! Also cant wait for his new album !
They're coming to Toronto July 26th. Got my ticket. I was planning on going to either Detroit or Montreal to see them. Then a commenter said check their tour schedule. And there it was. I am so excited I could faint. KP is my own personal Jesus. I'm 61.
