Just a clarification: the videos of tnx from 2 years ago called PLoud probably stand for the survival show LOUD and the P is an indication for PNations team since the show was a collaboration between PSY and JYP, where each would get to debut a group in the end. Since it was before their debut it didn't blow up. Plus you could see the show literally for free (on some apps) and even the full version and not just PNation.
I feel like Move and Kick it 4 now both had more fans, but Love or Die is my favorite! It has a million collab versions, and I’m partial to the original, the band Glenn Check version, and the r&b SOLE version The rapper you like, Hwi, produces and writes a lot. It was his selling point on LOUD, which had a big focus on creative input. He’s the only member of the group that wasn’t a trainee before their show, and I think you can tell in his more experimental style. The main vocalist, Junhyeok, went on hiatus between the debut and first comeback. He’s in the music and MVs, but still isn’t back to promoting. I’m guessing between that and pnation losing a bunch of artists is why the first comeback took so long. Vocals improved a lot all around during the long break and turnaround for the second comeback was quick If you want to listen to any of the albums-my guess is Boyhood would be most to your taste. Maybe Love Never Dies but it has like 2.5 songs outside the ones you watched
Interestingly, some also really reminded them of Newjeans for I Need U and Love or Die (Love Never Dies ep) tho it's really a cute coincidence because they were filming for Love Never Dies in LA the week Ditto was released. Then tbh Love Never Dies was released before xikers' debut and some people also got reminded of it since their teasers but, there's also really that rock + school concept trend now apart from further y2k like Kick It 4 Now and mainstream hiphop incorporations. I guess you are right about loyal casual listeners as a fan of them especially basing on their music platforms like on Spotify, their charting history on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify Viral Japan, Billboard and streaming even on YT Music. As well as Melon! It's not as big as some other groups but yeah they are steady on music platforms. I remember being fascinated at their Spotify monthly listeners twice like after a month of their cbs because their listeners were rising and reaching new peaks the farther it gets from the release date which I find strange in a nice way because typically, you'd see such fall down the farther it gets from the release date yet it also shows healthy growth and tells something about their music i guess I think that they are also getting recognized based on their Tiktok contents tho yeah I guess Pnation still needs to work on effective promos. But for me, it wouldve been good to have group singing covers too with their own flavour in them. They also really get attention for their covers tho, and they have nice voices. Plus the rapper that gets your most attention is involved at making their music and have done songs as well as re-arrangements since the survival show (other members too). Then they put their own colour (rap/hiphop, sentimentality) whenever they cover. So such will make them distinct from group covers. And even if they dont differentiate themselves, they usually enjoy khiphop which arent typically covered but wouldve been refreshing if brought mainstream. I mean, they could pull it off from their lives alone. Maybe games as well since they always get vi3ws when they do so If you ever wish to react on their other contents, I wish you go through their Boyhood teasers because it's a blast. You could listen to their bsides too because there might be a reason why people would keep up with their music hehe
Oh wow, I wasn't expecting to see a reaction to them! The group was formed through the LOUD survival reality show in 2021. It was a joint program between P Nation and JYP, where both companies were forming boy groups. JYP's group from the show hasn't debuted yet. They originally had seven members but the other member was too young(he was 12) and they decided to make him a trainee for P Nation. They make good music but yeah, they have had gaps between comebacks, which doesn't help. Also, NewJeans has loyal fans beyond casual people listening to their music, they have consistent views on their vlogs/other videos on their channel.
