Thank man, if I had only one bike I may have picked the Capra since it would be better at bike parks and rougher terrain but the Jeffsy was a good choice for a majority of the riding I do when Im not racing the DH bike.

Heard it stayed between kindergarden and smoothies so hoping those are okay. Don't think it made it down to hawk but not sure

I heard Car Wreck and the Dripping Cave area too, but it was second hand, at best.

Yeah hopefully these are only rumors, if I am all healed I hope to hit it this weekend

@Tommy Huynh the fire was between birthdays and smoothies but it did not go all the way up. Pics I saw showed two firebreaks plowed down both ridgelines and rangers that day told me it started in dripping cave. Good luck trying to ride it this weekend. If it is enforced like Oaks was, expect a ticket

Its shorter so it corners much better. DH capability is similar but its a lot more playful to ride.

The Jeffsy is more for longer rides but also capable for some dh action. The capra climbs also nice, but not as good as the Jeffsy. The capra however is better for downhill...so I guess he wanted a bike what is good for climbing and okay for dh. If you spend most of your time in parks with lifts for example, the capra would be the better choice. Finally it depends on what you prefer to ride i guess...sorry for bad english^^

I believe Wes has a Tues or Capra as well. Or at least he rides one in other vid's.

I mostly ride trails in my area that the Jeffsy is more than capable of handling so I wanted a lightweight fun bike. I also have a YT Tues for DH racing and bike park days but I honestly wouldnt be concerned if this was my only bike, say over the Capra as well.

I just pulled the trigger on the YT Jeffsy Pro Race 29. Got sick of researching geometry charts and spec'ing out bike after bike. I read enough to tell me it'll be a great bike. Granted, I'm more XC oriented in Texas/Austin area and don't do a lot of downhill stuff so I was concerned a lot about the HTA/STA and how it would affect my ascents. Folks have said it climbs great so we'll see. From what I've seen it'll be a great all-round bike that lets me do pretty much whatever I want. Hard to spend that much money w/ out ever having ridden it though... but at some point you just gotta go for it.

D. Haley I’m in between the jeffsy and the canton spectral. Luckily both are in so cal so I’ll be able to test ride both.. only difference is jeffsy is available in a 29.. but I’ve never ridden a 29 so idk haha

Dude! Wesley's brother?! Do you remember my brother Jordan and I? Small world! So you're looking at getting a 29er, huh. 29ers are sick. My cousin got me into this sport a couple years ago. First bike was a 2016 KHS Aguila. A real budgety 29er hardtail. Loved the shit outta that thing, even with the terrible fork. Picked up a 2017 Vitus Escarpe VR (27.5) end of last year and it's been great for everything out here in Orange County. What are you riding right now and which trails do you hit up?

Hell yeah! Well if you want to go the direct sales route, I would check out chainreactioncycles. They've always got deals going on and most of the current model year bikes go on sale at the end of the year to make room for the fresh stuff. My Vitus (chain reaction's house brand) was about $600 off when I ordered it in December. So I paid $1800 for a full suspension bike with SLX drivetrain and brakes and with a fox 34 up front and a DPS in the rear. They've got some really good bikes at awesome price points. They stock Nukeproof bikes too. Might pick up a Mega 29er at the end of this year.

Yes, I swapped the 34 for a 36 and the DPX2 for an X2.

I think so as well but I swapped mine for a 36 anyways.

what Spec 36 did you go with ? Also i say you did the float x2 swap. what spec on that....Awesome Videos BTW. @wes

RC2 on the 36 and the Kashima X2.
