On my trip in Austria, I came across the new electric Gwagon that was covered in the black and white rap which meant that it was the electric one probably testing the roads. It looked exactly like the gas one and the inside that I could see clearly looked pretty much the same which I LOVE. Waiting for the new electric one to come out for my parents to purchase!!!!! ❤

That is so cool. I saw and photographed the first Gelandewagon to arrive in the United States back at the time of its initial 1979 production. It was shipped to Alaska for use by Mercedes executives coming to Alaska for a hunting trip and then returned to Europe. It was a full decade later before the G-Wagon would be officially imported to the U.S. by Mercedes. The model I captured with my camera was identical to the one in your video encased in amber - and may well actually be the exact same one I photographed which came to the U.S. where it was tested on Alaska Tundra before its return to the Homeland.

Well, every video it has been shown it was on gravel and tiny rocks. Doing it on concrete segment would KILL the tires rubber and have it burn. My mom is getting it and we sadly won’t be doing the cool stuff like the g turns lol

If anyone wants to see that steering wheel that is temporarily embargoed, check out the video at 12:16. It doesn't look all that special, but it's not all that clear an image. All in all it seems like an amazing vehicle. But I really don't think of Mercedes as an automaker I'd choose for an off road vehicle. As Zach discovered when he got the chance to drive a Rivian off road before his was available, no matter how great a truck is at offroading it can be damaged and Mercedes makes very expensive vehicles. I used to own a Suzuki Samurai that was lots of fun to drive and was inexpensive enough that I didn't worry so much about off road dings and scratches.

Its the same steering wheel as the current models (EQS) but the current G wagon still has the older steering wheel, thats why they don't want to show it.

In India Tata motors had launched the Nexon EV in 2020 & before that in 2019 they had a blue circuit board design camouflaged prototype car which is far better than EQG.

Was I seeing things? At 8:20 as you are riding the EQG down a steep hill it appears that to the left your camera caught a glimpse of a stretched G-Wagon heading upward. Does such an animal exist in prototype or production?
