Thumper bikes vibrate a lot on a cold start. You should let it warm up for a couple minutes before riding. This allows the oil in the crank case time to warm up. All Blasts blow oil, that's why they call them Blasts. Lol
Plenty of parts still for these bikes. St Paul Harley Davidson carries all leftover parts for all Buells and most continue to be manufactured. And whatever you do, don't judge Buells by the Blast. Every other Buell is exponentially better than these. Not bashing your buddies bike, just these bikes were meant to learn on and that is it.
I had one I enjoyed it Like to have another one. Mine had transmission problems. You take off in first gear and about two feet it would give a big jerk. the vibration is normal. One of a kind. Seriously if I had the cash. I’d buy a few. I have a 2019 Honda cbr500r now. Love to have a A1 condition Blast
omg my 2001 buell blast sounds exactly the same very rattling and the gears clunk and all yep its about the same as that 08 lots of vibration too mine was only rated at 34 hp
Yeh I took one xb 12 for a test…Could not getting used to the enormous enginebraking. And I must say never ridden a two cilinder Bike.So not for me. It was an xb 12 long.
Yeah, absolutely. I am about 5’8” and I completely flat foot this bike with my knees bent, so you should be fine. I think my CBR 300 had an even shorter seat. Just go to as many motorcycle shops as you can find and sit on all of their bikes.
If you're gonna ride a Buell you gotta find some twisties. The Blast especially is not great for those wide-open highways. Also, the original Blast design is from about 2000 or so. Comparing it to your newer CBR isn't quite an even comparison.
Definate confirm lmao my blast has 40 lb ft of torque and a whopping 30hp soo its "quick" to 40 mph but thats about it...quick if it was a 125 and not a 500 hahaha
I'm gonna say deny. I have a Buell XB12S and it's got more torque, power, handling, and overall character than any of my other bikes (Honda CBR600F4i, Kawasaki zx6r). I know that's apples to oranges considering the different engine configurations, but I'm saying the Buells have plenty of "go." I also have a Buell Blast, which isn't a power horse or will win any races (unless you're racing a van), but it is nimble and has given me zero trouble. I was so bummed when Buell was nixed. Those bikes don't get nearly enough credit.
Lol Buell Blast I'm sorry you had to ride this failed abortion of a motorized bicycle. Who knew if you cut a Sportster in half you'd get the bad half? Hahah even Eric cubed this piece of garbage. (Yes I ride one by choice)
