hellyeah, great to see that thing in action. i know camera audio can sometimes be deceiving IRL vs on youtube, but best sounding motor/exhaust combination i've ever heard
What do you put for mileage on the vermont paperwork? I used vermont to register my 1993 xt350 and want to do both my ct70's now but I don't believe the mileage for either bike is accurate
I’ve put N/A a couple of times. If you’re showing a number on your odometer you can put that, I don’t think they check. When I’ve later got the bike titled in FL they’ve marked my FL title EXEMPT in the odometer section because it’s so old.
Any updates on these bikes after a few hundred miles or so? Be nice to see a rideout video of them as they seem forgotten about once built, for those of us who want to build a similar set up it would be great to see them after some longer term use with your thoughts.
After the first 10 or 20 miles you definitely need to recheck that all the nuts are tightened, but other than that these bikes are solid. I’ve sold most of these though before I’ve put significant mileage in them…
Definitely need to see the dyno happen on this engine! I've got the zs190 2v in a Grom clone... Would love to see what the 4v head adds! What gearing are you using on this build?
Another pristine build! Would be cool to see some side by side ride videos. CTs next to your newer Monkey or Grom. Would be interested in knowing performance differences.
@@eastcoastish Hi!, it double the hp in the papers, so it should be more than the stock, and since its a japoneses engine, Im expecting to be more reliable than the chinesse one, which is a troublemaker.
Got my daytona to run but trying to incorporate it in to the ct70 existing wiring.. wired the 70 red to 190 red. The ct70 battery blue to 190 ground... ct70 Yellow from old engine pigtail to red to key.. Blowing fuse.. cdi kills with + not ground.. Ugh
It may be easier to just rip out the old wiring and start new. You're running a 12v battery, right? Also you don't need the rectifier so make sure that's not still in line. The key is also going to be different; again, probably easier to just start fresh.
Yes 12v battery the tiny lithium 4cell is really cool. No rectifier. I really just wanted the factory ignition key to work the lights and kill switch. Added that cool starter button you used in the clutch handle.
