You never need reflectors unless you're ride at night... Keep that in mind
@TornadoGarden
@TornadoGarden 4 месяца назад
I added reflective tape around the rims of the delivery bike. I am on main roads with it a lot. I kept the Pro model with very few reflectors....for daytime zipping around.

I got my replacement bike and there is no indicator to say of it's a 750 or 250W motor. I unlocked it and when I lift the back wheel it spins up to 46km/hr. But when actually riding, it intelligently limits the speed to 23 km/hr. So I believe its a software limit. Apart from that, the bike is great to climb hills and leaves you very restful after a journey. Somehow it's more relaxed and you use less energy. It's just a pity they did not allow it to go to30km/hr. yet around town it should save battery. It seems to have increased from 25 mile per charge to about 39 miles.

I have a Fido T1 E Bike. I did change the seat and cut 2 inches off the seat post. To be able to touch the ground safely. I have short legs. But it is a great E Bike.

My goal is to not stop while biking. I like my seat high for the vantage and proper stance for pedaling. I definitely have to come off the seat at a dead stop. I'm thinking about chopping off a few inches of handlebar width.

Looking to buy this bike but don't like the whole battery key situation, just another step that I could forget and someone can make off with the battery! Also can I just buy a bafang controller and replace the stock one because I like the 500C screen and put a different throttle and brakes on it?
@TornadoGarden
@TornadoGarden 6 месяцев назад
I like the key. You can lock the battery on the bike or unlock it and remove it for charging. I like that it can't be ridden away without the key. I run my cable through the battery handle, to further secure it, when parked for more than a few minutes. You can change displays if you'd like. The stock one has cruise control, 3 speeds, mph/kph, odometer, and headlight controls. After 15k miles, I've found I rarely look at the display and it is small enough to allow me to mount my phone in the center of the handlebars. I paid 1600 when it was first released...it is now 1000 & a steal for that price. The brakes are line pulled hydraulic type... They stop good and the pads are cheap. Check out my other videos and subscribe if you get this bike. See you on the road!... No matter what bike you buy. :)

@@TornadoGarden Thanks for the help. Currently I have an ebike with bafang mid motor and two 52v 20ah batteries(not at the same time). I was hoping to use my current batteries and just sell the stock battery the T1 comes with. If the brakes are good then I wouldn't need to replace those. I like at least 5 PAS levels, my current ebike has 9.

@@TornadoGarden btw I'm in the UK and actually placed an order for a Fucare Libra but then they emailed me the day after saying they are not shipping to the UK, which is a bummer!
@TornadoGarden
@TornadoGarden 6 месяцев назад
@@manoz6194 The UKs no throttle and 15 mph limitations are sucky. I have a motor from Fiido marked 250w but it is clearly the same as the 750w version from my first bike. Some of my UK subs received unmarked motors...I'm guessing to avoid fines. This is a solid bike. My maintenance list is short for the tons of miles I've ridden: New rear tyre, brake pads, and patching tubes. As far as the batteries go, I picked this bike because multiple companies sell this battery. Some of them even go up to 23 amp hours. I don't pedal unless I run the battery out. I can assist the 3 levels with different gear selections.

@@TornadoGarden I'll most likely get the tannus armour. I've been trying to find this style of battery, is it the same as "silverfish"?. I'm more concerned about the type of cells. I don't buy batteries unless they are Samsung or LG cells. Panasonic cells have been disappointing

What is its practical range riding in level 2 only on pedal assist? I am planning to buy one for food delivery. So i should need 70 to to kms a day. Is it possible? Your help is appreciated. Tia.
@TornadoGarden

If you pedal the entire time, 70k is possible. I mostly ride throttle only so my range is less.

hi tornado i took my bike out today and only got 25 kilometers i didn't charge it as it was showing 5 bars that's very disappointing i have fully charged it now can i expect to get more out of it. what's your average from a charge
@TornadoGarden
@TornadoGarden Год назад
On average, with electric bikes, the max mileage is based on the lowest PAS setting and constant peddling. Your real world use will dictate mileage. If you run at max speed for long distances....divide expected mileage by 3. Try PAS 3 and save the throttle for downhill slingshots.

So I just got my upgraded bike yesterday and I can not seem to get it past 23 mph. This was the same case for my recalled fiido. I believe it has to do with the newer battery, I have one where the handle is more recessed into the case. I know I broke the speed limiter correctly, any ideas what it could be?
@TornadoGarden
@TornadoGarden Год назад
I'm going to open up both bikes and compare the controllers. Mine did the same thing out of the box... And for some reason the motor kicks off above 20. I can only get it to max speed using the throttle

When they recalled the old bikes do you have to still return it to them or are they already yours to keep?

41 kph max on the 250w 50 kph max on the 750w I tested the new bike this morning with both displays. Locked the new bike 250w pedal assist are governed at 15,18, and 25. Unlocked is 20,30,41. I had to use the throttle to reach the latter speeds. The 750 watt unlocked is 20 30 and then maxed... 50ish. The 750 watt consistently got up to speed 1 to 2 seconds faster. I'll have to do two separate videos... I hate to edit and I only have one battery.

@@TornadoGarden Wait, is PAS3 maxed at 41kph on the new bike, new controller unlocked? Because you said assistance levels, but you also said higher speeds only via throttle? I am asking because I have a particular borderline usecase, where my commute is 26km one way AND I want to pedal (otherwise I might just get a moped/vespa-type-scooter). I need at least 30kph on PAS3 to have commute time parity with train. Edit Nwm, saw your other comments and a separate video. I will have to contact Fiido to see what can I expect from a new bike in EU.

Has they reinforced the frame properly this time ? Any difference?
@TornadoGarden

After I unlocked the speed limiter I can only get 20mph. At first it was set at 15. What process did you use to unlock it?
@TornadoGarden
@TornadoGarden Год назад
There are videos to unlock any #Fiido bike. The procedure varies depending on which display you have. I have the display from my first T1 unlocked and I'm running it on my second T1 as a comparison. Brakes and throttle before hold power on. Hold them until you see E3. Release. #SeeYaOnTheRoad

@@SteffiReitsch They all come with 750w motors. Some people received replacement bikes because of a frame recall. My bike had a motor marked 250w, which Fiido stated was a mismarked 750w.
