FMF factory 4.1 slip on along with a JD tuner. And the emissions delete really transformed this bike. Its like having an R with 6 gears and plush suspension. Couldn't be happier with the set up! ENJOY!!
sensational, here in Brazil there are several legal trails as well. But here we have the Honda CRF 250, much lower than it is, but it is delicious and you can have a lot of fun.
This bike was built and designed to rip through desert, I see it does that well, but my only concern is - can I ease out the clutch at the bottom of a steep hill and crack the throttle open say 3000 or 3500, and granny gear up that hill like a tractor? Or would u have to wring it out from the start?
That’s all I needed to know, I have red clay rock bottom hills in my woods, the old leaf debris is great traction. I can’t rip it like u but I’m happy just puttin around.
It's too rich, you can see it in the throttle blips. Lean out the tuner or it's going to foul the plug and absolutely ruin your day. Aside from that it will dilute the oil with fuel. They are rich from the factory and people don't know or realize the lean popping is the air injection system. In fact you could have run no airbox lid and a full system and still not have an issue with factory mapping. Also as a side note, the X ECU isn't locked. You can get the cable and software and tune everything yourself.
I was wondering about that, i got a 23 450x and only thing I have done so far is vortex ecu from Tokyo mods, stock pipe. I do hear very very light popping after letting off throttle, you think this may be from tuner?
@@fox_pack1095 Not a tune issue. Unless the AIS is blocked it will pop. Nothing wrong with it as it's burning the unburnt fuel in the pipe. The AIS is part of the thermostat housing with the hose attached to it. You can pinch the hose and see if it stops, but I didn't do it nor do I say others should. Even the Honda S2000 has this system. It's to beat emissions while having good performance.
My buddy is a mechanic and took all that stuff out, didn’t touch the thermostat. But put a JD tuner in with the FMF slip on. Ditched the intake cover and it really rips now. Mpg isnt that good though anymore
@@Anthony_Marlowe but what did he do to it? What's the kit called you can't just take it off I'm interested in finding out bc I have a 450x and it needs the emissions off of it and the bypass kit
@@brookshuggins8433 but wouldn't it need a tune lol. I've never had a bike with emissions. Always rode old 250 2 strokes not familiar with all the parts
@@hunterkembel5012 no I rode mine like that for a year before I put a vortex and an exhaust on it , didn’t make it any leaner . You need a tune if you put an exhaust on or open up the airbox
