Feels like something out of the movie “Upgrade”, but after watching it, I am now nervous about being inside a self-driving car that could get hacked by anyone. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s neat watching the future era coming close, but at the same time, the more you bring in computer and AI programs into our lives, so does the chances of hacking certain machines. 😅 But hey, hope self-driving cars find a way to be immune from ever being hacked.

From what I know, they handle inconvenient situations via remote instructions or call in human helpers. This is ensured by operating only in mapped zones where assistance is continuously at hand via smart tech or actual people.

I had the same question! According to Waymo's manual, if you get pulled over by a cop for an infraction, they get to talk to a Waymo representative via the in-built audio system. We the passengers just sit and watch (?) haha

If you are a larger person just be aware that the seatbelts will not fit and you will be asked to leave the vehicle. If I personally ever ride a waymo again I'd want it to have longer seatbelts so my family members can be safe.

Thanks for your question! According to the rules for Waymo One, passengers must stay away from the driver's seat. However, you will definitely see humans driving these cars under special conditions: machine training purposes, heavy traffic, bad weather, etc.
