My favourite Announcer ever since that I remember one of his program of "Apni Pasand"(that is announcer's favourite) which besides as he mentioned here on Sunday but also at times presented at the end of proram late evening on Radio Ceylon and Gopal Sharmajee the way he had presented and ended with the last song of Gateway of India, Spane Main Sajan se do batein........concluding the program at the end of the song in a style without saying a word was excellent. And ever since by heart the entire song is intact in my memory with all stanzas and every word.
I am 70 years old citizen. For many years listened to his voice. Once I mat him and conveyed my affection. What a memory at his age,razor sharp,and what deep knowledge and love for film music. God bless him.
mujhe ye bataate huwe bahot khushi ho rahi hai, ke meri shuruaat janaab ameen sayani sahab ke zere saaya huwi, bombai ke radio ceylon ke branch ka main phir record liabrarian bhi banaya gaya, 1980 was the year, aur 1993 tak main ameen sahab ke saath kaam karta rahaa, un ki scripts ko translate karna (urdu to hindi), binaca/cibaca geetmala ke final paper work mein bhi shaamil rahaa, aur jab maine united states ke new jersey mein qadam rakha aur maine yahin ke tv asia par taqreeban do hazaar episodes kiye, ye channel pehle shri bachchan ka tha, musical program jo main likhta bhi tha, research bhi karta aur pesh bhi karta, edit bhi karta raha bahot saalon tak, zee tv ke liye bhi yahin kaam kiya hai, aur Haseen yaadein ke naam se maazi ke naghme pesh karta raha hoon, gopal sharma ji se bhi ek baar mulaqaat huwi thi ..barson pehle...khuda un ki aatma ko shanti de.!
Sir in those goldendays Binacageetmala by Aminsayani and Radio ceylon by Gopal sharma. Unforgettable. Luckily we are getting Radio ceylon now.Agreat help from you. Hrlswamy.
Our beloved dadaji Shri Gopal Sharma ji is no more. He breathed last this morning. He was 89. May his soul rest in peace. 28/12/1931 - 22/05/2020 Rochak Vashishtha
