In the First road trip with the ISF. I wanted to test out the absolute best mpg that this V8 can get, which is gonna surprise you. #isf #lexusisf #v8 #Vegas #LA #SD
@@impreza2k6 Lucky I'd love a blue. Have a 2011 white for 6 months now but here in Australia there's only under 1100 cars and probably less than 300 2011 and up, currently 28 cars total for sale and 2 blue 08s but I wouldn't get anything but 2011 or higher
Finally some F content, these cars don't get enough love. Just fyi for longevity try to fill her up above at least a quarter tank, your high pressure fuel pumps get a lot more wear and tear from heat when the car runs with low gas.
Thanks man I appreciate the support, and that’s exactly why I wanted to start my channel because theres little to no F content creators, Oh for sure, I didn’t know that, I usually never let the F get to complete empty but for the purposes of testing out the 100% complete effectiveness of the V8 I let it drop to empty
Loved my 08’ F! Bought it used at 77k and put 100k trouble-free “hard” miles on it! Only thing that went wrong was front rotors started to have micro fractures but that didn’t happen until 80k miles. Also the touch sensor (digitizer) of screen stopped working. Was a cheap DIY fix but required taking the console apart.
I got mine at 170k and now at 213k with no issues all maintenance and VP leak taken care of at dealer along with new dash and interior panels all around, before I purchased, car runs smooth and is amazing keeping up with cars today still, I haven’t had any issues with the screen yet, the guy I bought it off of did upgrade the screen to a newer year ISF screen and the digitizer before selling to me
Nice! Definitely keep an eye on those rotors for fractures. I used OEM replacements that weren’t branded Lexus and the job wasn’t too expensive. Come to think about it, my dash was starting to “melt” in the heat of summer days in Southern Louisiana.
There’s really 2 ways that are proven to work, I use the Grom Vline which is a module you connect to the car and behind the nav and store that module in your glove compartment and that gives you a factory looking CarPlay the second is the beat sonic route which you fully remove the lower radio portion of the center console and add in an aftermarket double din radio, I do have other videos on my channel about my Vline if you want to check it out🤙🏾
It’s actually the factory infotainment screen, I’m just running a Grom vline so I can have Apple CarPlay and play my own music, none of the ISs came with Apple CarPlay until the 4is, and only 2010+ IS infotainments came with Bluetooth music
Did an outing in my RCF. Eco doing 70 about 600 ish miles round trip getting 33mpg, second generation 2URGSE and beyond uses the Atkinson Cycle firing order like the Prius without shutting off cylinders when you want to cruise, you want to get rowdy then it’ll switch back to the Otto cycle. 212k is just getting started lol saw one sell on marketplace last year with 394k. Gorgeous ISF dude.
Absolute crazy numbers from a V8, getting turbo 4/6cyl engine numbers😂 and yes if I remember right all 2URs switch between firing cycles but the ISF 2UR isn’t as aggressive on the cycle changes (rewarding) as later Gens, with the ISF they wanted to prove a point that Lexus can change the game they just choose not to😂 I’m sure if Lexus took the BMW approach and went for power with luxury instead of luxury with power, it’ll change the car world forever and thanks man I appreciate it🤙🏾
Since I’ve owned the car I’ve never used any cleaner, the computer said 250 miles but that’s because it was used to my spirited highway/city driving, but realistically it was closer to 280-290 when I drove it easy and aimed for efficiency, on the way back it was definitely 300+
Yes it’s the stock infotainment screen with the Grom Vline hooked up, I personally like this set up better because it retains the factory look with updated functionality
Yes from factory it takes 91 (premium here in SoCal) the factory ecu tho can run an E30 mix efficiently and make a little more power and throttle response, for me that’ll be like 5 gallons of e85 and then filling the rest of the tank with 91, I am goanna make a video pretty soon about running e30 blend on the ISF
you mumblin bro speak up ! PRESENTATION IS EVERYTHING if youre saying the best thing ever but your presentation is shit no one will listen, you got this cousin !!
