!! Imp Hostel Update !! - I mentioned in my previous video that girls will be getting SBP Hall. I concluded this based on what I heard from the hostel staffs and the hall president. However, the hostel has not been confirmed yet by HMC Department. Since it is not confirmed, THERE IS NO GUARANTEE that girls will get SBP Hall. You will get to know the confirmed hostels soon.

Further points from the video:
1.Football, Cricket, Hockey, Basketball -
People play footballs at hostel grounds or Tata Steel Sports complex.
Cricket practice with net takes place at Tata Steel Sports complex. Students play cricket at hostel grounds as well.
Hockey practice takes place at Gandhi Maidan stadium near SBP Hall.
There are multiple basketball courts at different locations (check google) - you can play at any one of them.
All the above sports facility are free to use for students of IIT KGP.
2.Gym Process Details-
I know only this one so I am telling you. For tennis, badminton and snooker, you have to find out yourself in gymkhana. But I guess it’s the same procedure for all. Maybe you don’t need medical verification for these.
Steps for Gym -- Fill the given form from Gymkhana gym -- Get the medical verification (just a sign) at BC Roy hospital -- Pay Rs.500 at the given bank account (via net banking) in the form and print out the payment from your E-statement/online passbook -- Submit the filled form+ printed Payment -- Done.
3.About Wi-Fi-
Good speed. Illegal websites/pirated websites do not work.
WhatsApp works only on “Guest Secured” Wi-Fi network (Do trial and error on other networks as well)
4.Food hygiene-
Mess food is edible like typical Indian hostels with incidents like bad taste/average quality/okay-ish hygiene.
5.Swiggy/Zomato- is available till 11-11.30pm with good food joints closing around 9pm. But options will be available till 11pm. After that, you have to go for night canteens.
6.Cabs and Ola Bikes- Ola/Uber cabs are not present in Kharagpur. You have to get around with taxis and toto. You will get the cab numbers soon from your faculty advisor via mail before arriving campus. Toto numbers, you can ask them directly and save it when you arrive at the campus.
However, Ola Bikes are present in Kharagpur campus as well as in Kharagpur city. It is useful for solo shopping and outings as it is very cheap.
7.About Washrooms- No personal washrooms. Till now, I have seen common washrooms in hostels of IIT Kharagpur.
