I really appreciate you keeping a lot of this footage in real time! I feel like people forget most of what we see on RU-vid and TikTok is sped up-this is an excellent example of the patience and diligence it takes to handle long natural hair! Thank you for sharing ❤
Thanks so much for watching and sharing. I sometimes feel like longer videos are boring but I’m like I want to help educate people about the real time this process takes.
I'm a cosmetologist in SC and I love to watch silk press services!!! It's so satisfying to watch. You are so right about client expectations on time of a service. Lots of services can take several hours or several sessions to complete. They typically see the condensed version. I love watching your videos to expand my knowledge on textured hair!!
I finished in 2007. It's kinda hard for me to pinpoint my favorite thing to do. I love doing it all!!! I have to say that I love when my clients leave happy and developing a bond with them. Not only do they want a service sometimes they just like to have a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. We are "hairapists" indeed!!!
@@toshahuggins4190 my bad I read that way too fast 🤣 That is super awesome! I agree completely we wear so many hats, sometimes we’re besties or therapists. I know you must be amazing just based off of your response 🌸
I appreciate that u did not cut her hair straight across because as you said, her hair was shorter at the corners cutting her hair straight across, she would’ve lost most of her length. Thank you ur& ur client r amazing.
Great job,her hair just looks amazing and healthy. You hair has grown patience and stress free. I can't wait for your next video. Happy Holiday to you and your family.❤️❤️❤️❤️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👸🏿🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉☃️🍾❄️🎄🎀🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇
You did a great job 👏 ❤gorgeous. I have fine strands thick density and I wish someone would take their time like this when blow drying my hair. I usually only get a silk press once every two to three years at the salon because the blow drying process breaks my hair… keep doing what ur doing, there are a lot of people looking 👀 for this type of service ❤❤❤❤
Hello love thank you so much for all amazing videos I am learning a lot and am very grateful. Two questions 1, I have clients just the same hair as yours but somehow manageable hair however her sister is a different story it took me about 3.5 hours for detangle wash blow dry and silk press and only charge $ 95 I know I undercharged her but I didn’t know how much to charge either so do you have any advice how much I should charge a hair like this and also detangling products that I can use to make my life a little easier please her hair gets really tangled as water touches it please please
Hi there’s a few ways you can charge. I do based off of time so my silk press typically takes 2 hours and I want to make $50+ per hour and I have to factor in products so I start off at $140 that’s $70 per hour. And I charge more based off of the service length and products used.
It was getting further and further into the video and I was thinking "please god trim her ends! please!" lol I could tell the brushes kept snagging a bit and just looking at them, they needed to go! edit: I actually just caught that there was a little fairy knot in there during one pass with the iron. I can't wait to see her beautiful, long hair healthy all the way down.
Question: you said it will last from 2 to 3 weeks. If she washes her hair will go back to normal? Sorry to ask, i'm from brasil and this is new to me. I really like your videos.
This woman's hair is so healthy her cuticles are sealed 🤌🏿 no freying until the ends. I need to know what SHE is doing👩🏿💻 Beautiful press💕 your technique and flatiron pay off
@@MILD-ws2zp I do round brush after the first blowout but I see what you meant now. That wouldn’t have worked for this client due to the tangles that would have caused a disaster. My goal was to be gentle with her hair 💪🏽
