I traveled up to Dublin Ohio last Saturday and picked up my Christmas presents 2 husky/malamute mix puppies 8 weeks old girls.

Coming to Detroit and seeing all the snow and ice was crazy. And it was so cold. I literally ran into a wall of cold when I left the airport. Isn't it cool how everything goes quiet when it snows and how much lighter it gets in the night?

Hello. I was thinking about you and Thor. Wanted to see how you guys are doing. We are actually expecting a weather event tonight. But today it got up to almost 70 degrees. Dakota was out smelling the air. And he had a big smile on his face. I think that means snow. Well we almost adopted a 3rd husky today. My neighbors sister found a 1 year old husky. She tried to find the owner. But after several days she released him to the Memphis animal shelter. I had wished I had known about him before she turned him in. We found him on the shelter website and called about him. They said he was adopted one day after he was left. So we are hoping he got a good home. I did not plan to keep him forever. I wanted to make sure he got rehomed to someone who would love him. So I guess today was not our day to have 3 husky babies. But it got us to thinking. Maybe helping to rehome Huskies would be a way to give back. Its somthing we are passionate about. My husband retired last month. 28 yrs as a journeyman electrician. But he is currently in school studying to get his inspector license. Hes too young to completely retire. It was just a good time to learn a new trade. It want be as physically hard. You know when getting older its not a good thing to be doing that kind of physical work. Plus we will make his schedule and that helps alot with all the doctor visits. I am having to travel to another state to get treatment for psoriatic arthritis. And like now all the animals are due for annual check ups. Dakota is so crazy. He will be just fine riding in the van until he see we are pulling in at the vets office. Then he puts on his terrible twos show. He acted up so bad last time the doctor gave me trazodone for him to take on his next visit. Pearline just goes right in and enjoys all the attention. Very different personalities. I hope you and Thor are doing well and expecting a fun holiday season. I love the Ohio snow. I only spent a few holidays up there but it was a perfect snow everytime. Here it could be 70 degrees or 17 degrees. In Memphis we have a saying " if you dont like the weather wait a minute" because it will change that quick.
