@runnergo1398 that happens to me too sometimes, one thing to remember is that the majority of these games don't have any time limit. Especially on top dollar, you can sit there and think it through before you make your decision, the bonus isn't going anywhere. If you play top dollar, the game rules will tell you what they reccomend in terms of the credit amount you should take, and the screen will tell you what the best play is. At the end of the day you cant control the outcome as much as the machine wants you to think you do. Happens to all of us sometimes, best of luck to you! :)
