I've decided to crowd fund a documentary - unfortunately Seed & Spark doesn't appear to be a viable for Australian productions. But the info Emily is giving is very sensible and I'm going to take what I have learned an apply it.
Good video. Being a one man media/PR guru for my project, I feel like I have another team member reminding me of other things I could be doing. Thank you.
Guys, guys, guys, you’re missing the point, this young lady is on fire 🔥 and she has incalculable advice to succeed (against all odds) or not! This is the no-nonsense attitude you have to HAVE to pitch, parlay and CLOSE a sale... really for a product that may well end up being of less practical use than a Fuller Brush. All Props!!!
she keeps saying friends and family who you are sure will give you money, like what... also I don't know how to get people to sign up to a mailing list. i've seen like, if you create content, people will sign up. but i had to choose between creating content and creating the actual project, and I chose the later... at least if I can't crowdfund I can try to get clients with the platform I created... otherwise good video
I’m a quarter of the way in...Hooked! But you just lost me at the “email” as “best conversion rate.” It’ll be 2020 in mere days and this past year I’ve seen email fall down...like Humpty Dumpty. Is there an update to this vid, and the best social media to use, before I continue?
@ Anna Zumwalt .... Hi - just come across your message, and I'm wondering you found something riveting that is current? I'm a painter of cats among other things, and am considering a crowd-funding stint. Care to chat? Let me know. Regards
@@keshav2136 It's definitely not a joke. I guess people who aren't familiar with the platform might think so. But, because it's a newer content-driven platform, it's way way easier to cultivate a large following on TikTok than saturated platforms like FB, Instagram, or YT. And the short video format + hashtag algorithm lets your content be automatically directed to appropriate audiences to gain a following for your topic, film style, or you as a person. So, its much easier to get organically discovered. The platform has blown up in 2020 and pretty much all demographics under 65 are represented. It's not just teenagers dancing anymore.
Yes, just this year FB severely filtered how many people you can reach, engage and get them to click - just to get an email - let alone $$$ as they push you towards Ads (which are mostly a waste of money)
how do i know the integrity of a crowdfunding group? when i spoke with a rep from an outfit called INVENTURE X , she was extremely rude and reluctant to answer questions about the company and how things work like maybe they arent everything they say they are.. obviously, they lost the opportunity to serve me.
this women emily sounds like a 20 year old high school student the way she talks and her mannerizms are that of a teen.. like shes being attacked not professional at all
