Good thing the house is concrete! In America, if it rained like that in the house, that amount of rain would have caused so much water damage to the floor and walls because everything is wood. My family is from a Caribbean island, and I love how the homes are built of concrete. It feels so much more stable, especially after tropical storms. We even have the same type of louvre windows!
If will be nice when you get all you're fixtures in you kitchen like last one. To hang utensils and cups and put shelf over stove to add your pans. Sorry for the storm but now you know. .🥰 exactly what needs fixed right now
Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. The storm comes before house is fully finished so you now know what to fix, where the leaks come, and damages that can happen during storms. Hello Nicole. Tropical storms are so wild. Thank goodness you were in the new house even though you had some troubles. If you had been in the old house you would have all been soaked. All your plants will grow madly now after the rain. I hope you are able to get it all water tight before any more rain. 🌀☔☀
Hi your husband is correct, since the PH is a tropical country and there’s a lot of rain pours all year round. You should waterproof the external walls and seal the windows as well

I remembered typhoon Odeth that hit the Philippines. The typhoon made landfall in our area. due to the strong storm, the entire roof of our old house was blown off. Our new house next door had the entire kitchen and toilet damaged. only the living room and bedroom are left. but with the mercy of God still rising.
The roof should be repaired and done properly before another rain or storm comes. Also, the windows look leaky, and of course, the back door without a lock is a problem, too. You are lucky that your floor is just a lino, because if it was wood, then it would have been damaged. If I lived in the Philippines where there are monsoons and typhoons, I would put all my money and effort into having my house properly sealed and safe. That should be the priority. Take care.

Why was your new home already leaking everywhere nd also tha walls? you guys hvn't finished tha ceiling yet? and I guess instead of buying cheap materials to make home-made doors which isn't efficient instead buy better doors. will you be having ths prblm with Leakage throughout tha new home everytime it rains?
