I wanted to Ceracoat a slide, but that polished one looks awesome, and I can make a turd shine, so a slide should be considerably easier (and less messy). Maybe I missed it, but you polished it yourself, right?
Super simple process to strip the ano is ez-off HD oven cleaner unscented. Hose it on in a well vented area, let sit for 5mins, scrub with a toothbrush inside and out, rinse with clean water and repeat if necessary. Took me two times to get it 👌🏼. Then of course polish away. Originally i just hand polished with some aluminum mag cleaner but this time I stepped up to a machine polish with a red bar.
I am leaning that direction as well. Its Canada Day here today so that means Independence Day is only a few days away for you folk….thought it was appropriate.
I have 2 of the screw bleed valves , I originally bought for the M17 that you did not suggest using. Will those fit the first strike. ASA ?? It just screws into the bottom ??
The allen head on the bottom side of the FS asa is 1/8npt so as long as the threads match and the bleed valve is rated for high pressure you should be good.
What followers do you use in your mags? Some of my mags for my FSC, 8.1 won’t load the last round. I want to switch them out with something more reliable.
I am using Wixon.Shop flat followers in all my FS and Tiberius magazines. My guess is your problem with the last round lies in the little spring mounted nub at the tip of the follower is weak/tired. You could try shimming it solid and just remove the spring completely.
Anything you can find really. Washers, surgical tube, heater hose, heck even a wooden dowel could work to at least try and see if it eliminates your issue. If you havent already make sure you are running the red magazine springs.
My Fsc with this short 10ci tank is still 17” long. If i went with a factory barrel i could still only get it down to about 16”. Co2 is much more compact.
You can find them on Amazon or even the local hardware store. I would never link something that is unsafe to use in my opinion. Mods like this are at your own risk.
