My review of the First Tactical Tactix 3 Day Plus Backpack.
I used this sturdy and well organised pack for well over a year for bushcraft and on the hills. It has great organisation and is a quality bit of kit.
I talk through the pros and cons of the pack and how I see it best employed.
The pack is available here;

The reason for the second handle placed closer to the bag is that slip-through pocket and the long rifle case. When you have it attached and you want to take off/pick up the pack - you would use the handle closer to the back, as the usual top handle would be obstructed by the rifle case

Nice well figured out design that, impressive. Those removable/movable compression straps are unique,never see that before. As others have said very 5.11 like. Nice size/capacity. Well out of my budget range personally and that’s ok. However for those that have the moolar a great choice from the looks of it. Excellent review as always too Tom 👏🏻👍🏻

Looks like a capable Bergen Tom, decent mid size for a long Weekender, never been keen on the molle system though, to much to snag when mooching through the ulu, and that price is steep. All the best to you.

The kelty redwing 50L has been my go-to so far but I think I'm going to replace it with this. They had a great product back when they called it the 3100 cubic inch. But Kelty's execution has gone downhill since the 3100 I bought in 2009. That one had a ton of features. The new ones, now known as 50Liter, aren't anywhere near as good.

Really on the edge about buying this. But I desperately want, and don't know they didn't include, a port and compartment for a hydration bladder. Considering it's supposed to be a 3 day bag, why is that not included!? I carry about 6L of water in my current field bag, 3L of that is in a bladder.

I own the Half day and the 1 day plus in the Tactix line. Ran both of them them and I will say they are awesome packs. I haven't pulled the trigger on the 3 day pack just because I do not have a need for it as of now. They are similar to 5.11 Rush packs. Got me thinking I might just need to invest in this one as well.
@PreparedPathfinder

Roger, l thought that ref the 5.11 packs too, but this is definitely better designed and better quality.

@@PreparedPathfinder 100% agree, The lay out and design is much better in my opinion. I also like how you can actually run a long gun case in the back of the pack. Over all a great pack in all sizes.

Definitely RUSH 72 inspired and probably done better tbh (I never did get on with the split helmet storage design it seemed to move around too much). If it came with the detachable waist belt and that had good padding and molle to double as a kit belt/LFO then I'd say excellent value. Packs like this are gear slingers and this looks good for that, other designs will be more comfortable for prolonged movement but I like it.

I have it. Way too many pockets, great quality but the added weight of the 350+ pockets wears the front fabric. I read a review, the dude ripes his open. Costumer service replaced it though. Also quite a bit heavy because once again of all those useless pockets.
