He never won any legitimate world titles in featherweight and light welterweight divisions but ring magazine titles only. Ring Magazine is not a legitimate world titles but just a recognition titles. In fact, ring magazine is just a publication and not a boxing bodies like the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO. I don't see anything wrong with not wanting to be hit in the ring. As Mayweaher said, you can last longer. Many boxers get hit too much, and HAVE GOTTEN HIT TOO MUCH. The way George Foreman held his hands, he got hit too much, though he hit opponents. And I disagree, if he didn't want to get hit, he shouldn't box. If he can get hit less and less as he boxes, GO FOR IT. Concussions, etc., comes from blows to the head. Finally, I disagree that he's chicken. Just smart.
