First Takeoff and Land 3 1 24 

First takeoff and landing after engine rebuild. I am still learning the Tripacer. Sure doesn't float like 172. Took off on the pavement in a stiff crosswind. Decided to land on the grass into the wind. My first time landing this direction on this field. In addition to the Tripacer sink, I added power too late and set it down hard Hard enough to laugh after, not hard enough to hurt anything) The added power kicked in just as a big rise in the field cam up to meet me to I got a second takeoff. Almost went around but had plenty of runway so let it come back down easy. Only mildly embarrassed. This is only the second time I have ever landed this plane. All in all a good flight and the engine performed very well. Plus on this cool day we got 1000 fpm climb even pitched for 90kts. Woo Hoo! So happy to finally fly it!
