This buggy is really nice for beginners but necessarily need some upgrades. First, buy ball bearings (HSP 102068) and replace the original brass plain bearing in wheels. This makes a noticeable difference - some parts will last for longer, and you will receive better speed. After that, you have to buy tuned pipe for better power (try to buy a pipe with the shape of "L", and avoid "S" shape, because of its need for small modifications). Last upgrades are aluminum nut M4 for wheels and aluminum clunch shoe with spring. DONT buy upgraded shock absorbers, because they are very fragile, and can easily crack even in light impact!
I havent broken in any of my 4 gas and nitro cars , after 7 years they are fine. The break in crap is something that everyone repeats like parrots but no one has evidence of it
That's a great rc from HSP. I've had my tough times with it. It's model no. is 94166. The car is a blast to drive. A 2-speed transmission coupled with a VX .18 engine measured around 2.95 cc. Priming gets real pain, often resulting in engine flooding. Still a great rc. I grabbed it at about 149$ so it's a good deal.
