In terms of eye test I think Lamar is at the 2nd highest tier just under Mahomes, this weird idea that there are 3 quarterbacks better than him let alone a tier above him is just false.
Say whatever you want about Lamar in the playoffs, but this is just ridiculous. He’s 6-1 against Burrow, 2-0 against Stroud, and far more accomplished than Josh Allen. Can’t we just be honest here? Even if he’s not your favourite type of QB, or you don’t like his style, it’s working. 2 MVPs, 1 vote off of both them being unanimous, 2x first team all pro, and he’s literally never had a WR1 caliber guy. What Lamar does is so unique, and he’s a joy to watch.
As a Steeler fan I agree that Lamar should be higher. I don’t understand how they put Burrow up there of one year then the other years he hurt. Lamar is just hated.

Lamar goes through this cycle everytime. His defense accounted for more turnovers in his playoff career than he’s had tds. There’s always context with other players but with Lamar it’s never taken into account. Titans game 6 drops. The bills game concussed and couldn’t finish the game in which Josh Allen had a poor game as well. Obviously he needs to be better in the playoffs but in terms of the new era only Mahomes and Lamar have guaranteed hof berths.
