I give Dallas the edge because it’ll be hard to trap Luka and kyrie, without letting PJ Washington and the big guys be a threat on the lob. Kyrie and Luka are too skilled with the ball that it’s hard to press them, the way they did to the nuggets who just have one good ball handling guard in Murray. The nuggets are not the same team as last season. Also remember, Luka is getting extra rest, and that will be a problem for the Timberwolves. I’d say Mavs in 6 because Luka will be on attack mode, especially if Edward’s taunts him, that’ll just feed into Luka’s style of play. Jokic is a quite, Tim Duncan type of player, Luka is a Larry Bird type of player, challenge him and he will school you like he did against the Suns.

The thunder were betting favorites but they never should have been. This just proves that most people dont understand basketball on a deeper level. It was a favorable matchup for the mavs on so many levels. Best player in the series, much more size and much more experience. Im a huge Luka fan but they are kinda right. This was expected. Clippers were without Kawhi and OKC should never ever have been favored in this matchup. Only advantage they had was 3pt shooting. Everything else Mavs had the matchup advantage by a lot. But Luka is also playing injured so he gets a lot of credit from me for that.
As a Luka fan, I'm with Brou, but I wouldn't hold it against Luka if he reached the Finals and lost to this historic Boston team. But I do think reaching the Finals is the next step, it has to be. There is nothing else.

Seriously, Tatum was drafted onto a team that was already a contender and went to the conference finals in his rookie season. He has had stacked teams his whole time in Boston. Far less excuse than Luka who has had to carry a lot of teams singlehandedly, including this very team through large stretches of this year.

BOS not only has 2 stars, BOS has 2 allstars, 2 former allstars (1 of them former champ) and 3 all deffensive team players that can shoot 3s at high % and are even able to carry games in PO. Gafford, Lively, DJJ and PJ are playing well, but they have done nothing before this, most of them have literally no experience in PO... comparing them to the likes of Jrue, D.White or KP is just hilarious. BOS is a very stacked team, so stacked in fact that Tatum can go 4/17 and win by +9... there's no point discussing which team has the best roleplayers and the ones with most experience.

This is going to be a good series. Minnesota has the right mix of vets and young guns. Kyrie is Ky2K..KyrieKush. Minnesota also had to go thru Kevin Durant Sun's, the Defending champ Nuggets. Dallas needs to be prepared for an actual series series.

PJ was on a bad team and was not good (at the time when they were in WAS/CHA), DJJ is playing for a minimum. They didn't have this team even in the top 10 at the begining of the season. Its a team game and Luka may be better than Edwards at this point but the Wolves have a better overall team and way more size and better defense.
