They thought he would be a good GM because he worked under Brandon Beane when he rebuilt the Bills from irrelevance to yearly playoff contender. Clearly he didn't learn much from Beane. I thought he'd be a good GM too. Honestly surprised
The old line thing is true, but it wasn't on my homes. Those balls were right in the chest of his receivers. They would have won every game this sheriff. His receivers would have caught the ball.I mean , that's what lost a most games
@@brycehoward4139defense played a hell of a game but it’s a known fact still coming out victorious with those number of sacks and pressures is unheard of literally. It was an NFL record. Burrow still threw for I believe 300+ yards and made some clutch plays.
Burrow also had Chase, Higgins, Mixon to throw and give the ball to, so not even close to the same situation that Daniel Jones had with practice squad receivers. Also, the Giants OL BROKE A SACKING RECORD last season.
How many playoff games did Trevor Lawrence win? How much did he get paid? With the recent contracts the DJ contract looks like pretty good value ecspecially since it has an early out if he can’t finally figure it out this year
@@sisilotau2185Same with Kirk Cousins. How can people have issues with Danny Dimes for getting a bag after winning a playoff game while people like T. Law and Kirk Cousins are out there doing the exact same shit. Make it make sense lmao.
i swear analyst just love talking and love pushing personal agendas. The giants had either the worst oline or near worst oline in the last 10 years. hell the past szn has proven that the giants oline was 2nd worst of all damn time. Put anyone behind that line your getting the same or worst result.
The best WR or TE the Daniel Jones has had is either Kenny Golladay(who promptly is OUT OF THE LEAGUE) or Darren Waller(who’s planned on retiring for 2 years straight). Daniel Jones has had Saquon, a bad Oline, and a bunch of JAGs
I just like to say this…..Giants always been that sneaky ass team that win a ring in every decade since the 80s if they don’t win here pretty soon I def think they will early 2030s
you have to either have A) bad online but have good weapons and a good offensive coach to help get the ball out quickly. B) good o line but just okay weapons to give them time to get open. you simply can't have a bad oline, no weapons, and just a decent offensive coach.
Joe Burrow has Higgins AJ Green and Chase from his rookie year. Purdy lived on the threat of the run game and having a defense to rely on. DJ makes a mistake it's game over. Look at the Vikings game it was a shootout.
This is why they haven't won anything!! Let talk facts!!They made eli retire 4 or 5 early than he was supposed to!! Now years later same problem dumpster fire!
Pat was down starting RT in week 5 of 2020, starting LG, RG, and backup swing tackle were already out before then. The Chiefs lost 1 game before the SB and played nearly all backups vast majority of the season. The wheels fell off when the LT went down at end of afc championship game. Even then Mahomes made great plays under duress all game in the SB, but the receivers dropped them.
@@demonslayer-ds9vothose WRs are useless if you can’t read the defense mid play or get the ball out to them…what are we talking about here? Burrow would already be a SB champion if it wasn’t for his ass oline and that’s a FACT.
@@greatwhitesufitrue but his worst o line was still way better than the Giants lines in recent years and Burrow had top tier receivers. When you have 1 of if not the absolute worst o line and no true number 1 receiver you’re going to struggle on offense, doesn’t matter who you put back there. Obviously Mahomes and Burrow would have done better and no one is arguing against that. The argument is no 1 would have consistent success with that offense regardless of talent. And frankly it’s better to try and get the o line fixed before you go get a new QB because throwing a rookie back there is going to derail their career.
People still go on about that face mask ball, missed interception stuff (I would like to point out at this point I am NOT a 49er's person), but no one talks about the little yellow flag that is thrown prior for PI, which incidentally must have been against the defence otherwise the face mask catch wouldn't have stood! I am just not sure why people like to use it to knock the kid? And when did we all stop loving the fact that a dude picked last took a team (yes with lots of talent) to the SB? Surely, that gives hope to everyone being picked late that, given the chance they can go on to do great things, isn't that what the American dream is all about? (I am also British so happy to be corrected on that last part). Anyway, rant over.
True we had no oline but mahomes still was making plays n putting the ball in the wr hands they just kept dropping first downs and TD’s it could have been a close game if riek, kelce n the rest had hands but it was a bad day
@@dreisland6115 no I’m not blaming mahomes for the loss but losing by 20+ means as great as he was and is he needed help. Trust me I get it I went through the same thing with Rodgers in the 2010s
I would put andy reid #1, #2 defense, #3 kelce, and #4 mahomes the reason why theyve been winning. Still cant believe they gave the super mvp to anyone other than the defense last year.
Lol, the Giants suck so bad that I thought maybe they were to cheap and didn't have a GM. Now that I know Joe is their GM, he is a joke of a GM. I wonder when he will learn how to draft and put a real NFL team on the field? Maybe the next GM will know how to GM so the great Giant fans can be excited about their team again.
I don’t think Jones is great, but you can’t say he is awful or bad with that trash o line and those WRs. Evan Neal might be the worst tackle in the nfl and the worst I have ever seen.
That O-Line was the 2nd worst in history! Chris doesn’t have a clue and Nick putting Schoen on the board is absolutely ridiculous. Wildes summed it up perfectly with the Giants - Cowboys game and Mahomes in the Super Bowl.
Mahomes made a Super Bowl against Brady with no line. Worse than the giants. Worst in history. Giants talking about 3 injuries, mahomes was missing 4 linemen
But there offensive line has been bad since Eli was there. Why cant you produce a competent/descent o line, let alone a good one. Daniel Jones is not good behind a bad offensive line. Some quarterbacks can stand in there and make throws and not look at the rush. Burrough doesn't seem to mind getting hit. Hit him, he pops up and throws a dime. Some guys get rattled under pressure.
Weapons mean NOTHING if you can’t win in the trenches and DJ is no Joe Burrow. We already know Burrow would be a year two SB champion if it wasn’t for his oline.
@@vktor5730 equivalents don’t matter. Use your brain and understand games are won and lost in the trenches and defense wins championships. There is no saying for elite WR talent and weapons a QB has at their disposal. If your line isn’t winning in the trenches and your QB doesn’t have time to read the field, go through his reads, and deliver a pass on time and accurate…your weapons are rendered useless. Please learn ball and stop playing semantics and making excuses. The most important asset to a QB is the big men up front making sure he stays up right.
@@kevinstewart8054 …considering Burrow beat mahomes to go to the SB and is the only active QB to win against mahomes in the playoffs…yes he would be..if his oline could actually block… do y’all use your brains before you flap your gums or are y’all incapable? What an ignorant statement you made.
That man is not lying, you people need to stop it. Mahomes couldnt have done what hes doing now on about 29 other teams in the nfl. To try and pretend he wasnt elevated by Reid, Kelce and landing on a winning playoff team is asinine.
While the real people that know football don't believe this.He had the most receiver misses this year. His offensive line was horrible the first few years and Mahome still did it now.Is he getting better?I don't know, but the guy is not only good good.He is coach minded. Not sure he'll keep winning. He's going to have to step it up each year
Completely disagree. Daniel Jones had the worst oline all year period. Give Daniel Jones Travis Kelce, a good defense, decent wide receivers, all of which Mahomes has had every year and see how good Daniel Dimes does. These analysts don't know shit.
Tbf Zach Wilson had an equally bad o-line compared to Daniel Jones, but he had Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. I think if a line is trash enough, it doesn’t matter how good the skill position players are, you won’t be able to function
@@rohanshah7559 No he did not!!! The Giants O-Line was the 2nd worst in the history of the NFL! Last season, they gave up 20 more sacks than the next worst O-Line!
That's true, but Joe still made it kind of made it work by reaching a Super Bowl and then the following year making it to the AFC Championship the following year.
@@vicecityJ305weapons do not matter if you have a shit oline. This is common sense. The QB has to be good enough to overcome that and clearly jones isn’t.
Bruh for fkn real.. God forbid anyone dare open their mouths to say anything about mahomes.. God I hope it the ravens that send the Chiefs home in the playoffs
@@seanc6754 Hope is maybe all you have, Bro. Lamar had the perfect opportunity last year - AT HOME. And he still peed down his leg. When are you going to accept that 15 is inevitable?
@@bfraze9658 it's not Patrick mahomes that I have the problem with its Nick Wright.. maybe if you would read the comment and not go buy your own lust for Patrick mahomes
Patty Cake Mahomes has the refs in his back pocket and you know it. Mahomes gets all the calls at the right time. All the Chiefs have to do for the majority of the time is keep the game close then the refs will run a few plays with him and then wala!! the Chiefs win. They are not legit as an elite team in history of the NFL .
@@user-si7el5vv1h so? He got his team there, so did Purdy. The point is that a trash offensive line doesn't do any qb any favors. David Carr was sacked so many times that the guy couldn't put his plant foot down before getting blasted. Look at Brady when his oline went down in flames. Daniel Jones was getting smoked before he had time for a three-step drop.
@@ernestlloyd2134 did I say Daniel Jones was a good qb? I said that he had a trash o-line and every qb that played behind a trash o-line didn't play well or not very long.
And what was they're record I'm not saying Jones is good Qb but that O-line is trash and who was he suppose to throw it to himself he couldn't throw to Barkley on every play
Lol mahomes has field vision, has survivor vision. Once they lost Tyreek Everyone had the Chiefs not even going above and beyond (even with or without Kelce)....somehow they got to the superbowl Andy Reid is the director but mahomes can stay alive unequivocally as opposed to Belichick with Brady
Classy. And if/when that doesn't happen you'll be ghost. Reid wasn't a HoF HC pre Mahomes. He was fired in Philly and blew a ~28 point lead in the playoffs in KC. They need each other, like every QB/HC duo ever. Brady picked a stacked roster and won one without Bill. Look at what happened to him the next season. He got beat by Dak in round one. Reid has great schemes. Simultaneously, Kelce gets open by not running Reid's routes, and Mahomes regularly has to play backyard football because Reid's play call didn't work. It will heavily depend on who replaces Reid. It sounds like you hope there's a fall off, but no one knows until we get there. Most likely he'll have the best offensive minds in football clambering to coach him. The most similar situation I can think of is Montana. The mid career coach change didn't slow him down.
@@vanillatornado8390 LOL he went to 5 (FIVE) NFC championship games with DONOVAN MCNABB, and compiled a 130-93-1 record - again, with DONOVAN MCNABB!!! Maybe you didn't watch the NFL then. Basically McNabb was at the same level as Danny Dimes. He also went to a SB with him and lost on a FG to the GOAT with his best player (Owens) playing on one leg. look it up and do some research. We all saw how shit Mahomes was last season when Reid wasn't able to scheme Kelce WIDE OPEN. Once he adjusted and Mahomes had receivers getting wide open again his numbers went up. These are facts, go back and look. When he tried to carry the team early in the year he played like shit and wasn't even close to being in the MVP conversation.
Bro…. You can’t call yourself a football fan with that ridiculous take. I’m not a Mahomes fan really but come on…. He’s the most skilled player we’ve seen in a generation.
