Normally I agree with ppl who assess Nick just being a Lamar hater, but the fact that Lamar is going for a 3rd MVP, fair or unfair he's going to have to knock everyone else out the race to win it because if it's close they are going to look to give it to anyone else because of voter fatigue and to punish the Ravens for laying an egg last postseason even if it is a regular season award. But if Lamar outshines Baker on MNF, another big time performance in primetime vs Bengals, primetime vs Chargers, it's going to set up another game where he can once again clinch MVP again on Christmas this time vs CJ Stroud. This of course assumes CHiefs dont go 17-0 or 16-1 or they will give it to Mahomes.
I think what last years MVP solidified to me and also what this season is confirming, is that Lamar outside of Mahomes obviously is the clear best player in the NFL.
