FIRST TIME EATING DURIAN (Manila Philippines)

Catching up on Finn's old videos because I wanted to see how he started. Browsed through the comments on this video and I am amused at the criticism poured on Sherlyn. So glad that Finn stood his ground and was able to see Sherlyn's qualities; Sherlyn has, many times, in these two years proved her critics wrong. She is one of the most talented, interesting, beautiful and supportive partner any blogger can have.. These two have made a dynamic duo and contributed to Philippine tourism immeasurably.

I told Basel (The Hungry Wanderer), we’ve never had fresh durian growing up in Cavite. We only had candied durian so we never had to deal with what people r saying as smelly. I remember watching a video of Andrew Zimmern eating fresh durian and describing it as eating a glob of butter. Great video, guys.

434.00!!!! Jeezaz Mary and Joseph! Quite expensive. Not to mention that was a bad one. Ripe durian can easily be smelled from a block away. Finn's nose almost made contact with the fruit and nothing. Still, I'm glad Finn finally did the #DurianChallenge. I've been commenting about that for quite some time now. Hahahahaha Finn, the best time to eat durian is during Davao's Kadayawan festival on August. You'll get to taste the best varieties for cheaper prices. As in waaaaay cheaper prices, some vendors will practically give durian for free. Also, "My fellow filipinos. Durian is actually great. Finn is just finicky." I don't know why but I find that really amusing.😂🤣😂🤣😂

I love durian, it smell like sweet vanilla to me, and it taste so good when its ripe. If the fruit smell strong it means its ripe and delicious lol.

It's good trying something you haven't tried in your life. A good durian is soft and creamy and of course sweet with punjent smell, i can guarantee it's the best.

The trick with durian is to wait for it to fully ripen to appreciate its unique flavor. Sometimes it gets picked too early and it's off putting for first timers. If you ever eat dim sum beware of the pretty flaky pastry....it's durian! Also, try the jackfruit next time. It was the other fruit next to the durian. It's delicious!

Durian is very delicious and cheap here in Davao City esp if its season. That one you bought maybe more or less hundred pesos. Its ripe when theres smell even before u open it and its suppose to be soft and creamy.

the feels: funny tasting fruit the Durian! An acquired taste, I think. It was a fun video seeing your faces with each bite, always changing :) happy to gagging disgusted next but congratulations if you didn't puke! Fruits usually change taste when they are in season instead of being forced to mature in a different climate.

I’m thinking this wasn’t fully ripe durian. It should be consistent in flavour and texture all throughout. It’s a great fruit because it’s the dark horse - it may smell but it’s surprisingly delicious and supremely creamy. I’m very glad you kept trying several pieces. Most people turn their noses and miss out. I hope you can try it again when it’s ripe and begging you to eat it!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Awww, I hope Sherlyn will help you get some fresh ripe durian near Davao. The durian in Manila is not high quality. I am surprised she did not convince you to try balut there on the streets of Manila!

Durian in Davao is the best in the Philippines. It is in yellow color its more creamy.
