Fun fact: BTS is the only artist to ever chart on the billboard hot 100 in 3 different languages (Korean, English, Japanese).

In this song, BTS likens themselves to a mariachi group because of their love of music and willingness to travel anywhere that people will listen to them sing (similar to some modern mariachi who wander from table to table in restaurants playing for anyone who calls them over to share their entertainment). "Airplane" was a solo track from JHope on his 2018 solo mixtape "Hope World". It was his reflection on being younger and wanting to travel, and now realizing his dream with BTS by flying all over the world....In Airplane Pt 2, JHope's rap is taken directly from part of his lyrics in the original Airplane.

airplane part 1 is jhope’s solo and one of his verses in that song is the exact same as the verse he did in airplane part 2, but it sounds completely different because even though the words are identical he completely changed the sound and flow

This is the Japanese version of the song. It's the only mv that exist. There's no Korean mv but there are Korean live performances which are really good. I like both versions. Edit: Just checked and there's a fan made Korean mv version. Be careful not to mix up official mvs with fan made ones.

Airplane (Airplane Pt. 1) is actually a solo song by J-Hope that was on his mixtape called Hope World. The version of Airplane Pt. 2 you watched is Japanese as BTS and other kpop artists commonly remake their Korean songs in Japanese (BTS have 5 Japanese albums). So there is a Korean version of Airplane Pt. 2 on their album Love Yourself: Tear. That festa video of them doing Airplane Pt. 2 is pretty fun.

You HAVE to check out Dynamite. It is their first English song and really increased there global popularity during covid. They put it out in 2020 as a way of cheering up their fans during covid and it literally worked and for more than just their fans. It got them so many awards and records including RU-vid record for most views in 24 hr at 101m and was only beat by their next English song Butter. It already has over 1.5b views on RU-vid, it got them their first Grammy nomination, their first #1 on BB hot 100, and it received the 2021 BBMAs award for top selling song. Just to name a few of the awards. edit - I forgot to mention the genre is disco and they pay homage to Michael Jackson. Betcha didn't see that coming lol.

Jin is the blonde doing those high notes that you loved and that was such cute and funny timing that the camera was like 'bye!' when he started, and I love that you caught the el mariachi before you read the lyrics. This music video is one of my faves because of the beautiful scenery, loved your genuine reactions. I like the idea of you watching the music videos without lyrics so you dont miss anything, then reacting to the lyrics, then a live, its the full experience.

The dance practice to this song is SO good. BTS's dance practices are like an actual performance. They put just as much effort into them. So i recommend watching Airplane PT.2 dance practice. And any other dance practices really, you won't regret it.

Yes this songs has latin pop and honestly they did it so good 🔥🔥 The pt.1 is actually a J-hope's solo song called Airplane. He did the same verse of his song in this one but with different tempo. In a behind the scene's album review RM said that their CEO at that time ( Bang Si-hyuk) first heard J-Hope's song and said it sounded like a BTS song, inspiring them to write a part two and also bc the other members related to the lyrics and thoughts of that song. 💜

Summer is correct. There is Airplane p. 1 which is a solo song by JHope. Airplane in general is one of the key words or themes in BTS music (imo). These are what most of us would consider spoiler performances or MV from Taylor's intro video if you're interested in tackling them before watching her intro video. For the most part they're individual performances. I'm sure other ARMY would be willing to add to this list, but I think this the basic and good start. This song is called aiplane pt2 because it was inspired by the song Airplane, which was included in J-Hope's mixtape Hope World. You can think of Airplane pt2 as a continuation of Airplane. In fact, in the part of J-Hope in Airplane Pt2, some of the same lyrics of Airplane are included with a different melody.

So BTS has released 3 Japanese studio albums in total. It's a very common practice in Kpop to release Japanese versions of their song because of the size and proximity of the Japanese music market. Due to various socio-historical factors, Japanese listeners usually consume music exclusively in their own language. Of course, for ARMY this doesn't apply, but BTS from time to time releases Japanese versions or some songs that are exclusively in Japanese such as - Film out - Crystal Snow - Stay Gold - Let Go - Otsukare and others As you have probably noticed, this video is under universal music japan and they are usually really picky with the Copywrite strikes so I hope this video survives but I am glad I was here early. Hi there, the uniqueness of this song is the lyrics are in Japanese, the song is a latin vibe and the singers are Korean. Airplane pt. 1 is a solo song by JHope from his mixtape Hopeworld. JHope sang a portion of his song from part 1 during his part in part 2. Maybe you should check out their Festa Room Live 2021 where they sang a medley of their songs so you can get a glimpse of their discography. The titles and album are shown on screen for every song they sang.

I recommend starting with these three for a couple reasons: 1) They are all from the same album - Love Yourself: Tear. 2) They showcase the BTS mood range. 3) One song is just the 4 vocal line (Jin, Jimin, V, and Junkook), one is just the rap line (RM, Suga, and J Hope), and the last is a group song. 4) These specific vids all have English subtitles, and are from the Love Yourself tour (2018 - 2019). I personally think that BTS fans are just lovers of music, regardless of genre (listen to the crowd reaction each time a song starts and ends). There is 100% ARMY memes about the dangers of putting BTS' full catalog on shuffle and getting genre whiplash. Airplane Part 1 is a solo song on Jhope's mixtape "Hope World". Airplane part 2 is different lyrically and contains all 7 members, BUT on Jhope's rap in this video, he does the same verse that he originally had in Part 1 which I think is really cool. Both songs essentially talk about traveling, going to different places, and gaining mileage which is all due to their growing success. But in part 1 Jhope talks about this as an individual (his personal experience) while part 2 discusses it as a group with all 7 members. And no, part 1 doesn't have the same latin vibe that this one has. They're two different styles of music 😂💜
