I am always against the use of electric collars. Mudhols are the very fast. They can run like a leopard. They are also called caravan hound. Beautiful dogs.

e collor are used to keep the dog focused on their handler eg i gun fire for dog its 4 to 20 x more sound so he cant hear commands in that sounds this makes them to concentrate on handler commands which are usally in german / and these dogs are sight hounds they are not supposed to be in army

these are sight hounds not scent hounds there are breed differently for that purpose / and my family is breeding working dogs singce 1880s 4 genrations these army i know most of handlers there in mp /assam/bsf camps they are forced to used these racings dogs as working dogs

AAccording to itbp sources they are ideal for patrolling long distance , low maintenance , can identify suspects far from miles and chase them quickly.. Therefore offcourse they are not assault dogs. They are for PATROLLING... Do you heard about kombai.... U will see a new indegenous assault dogss...😎😎😎😎

Chippiparai dog is the most loyal dogs in the world. Pre version of mudhol hounds. Still used for hunting in tamilnadu. Looks great. Man wish Indian Army induct our own breads completely. No need for costly Medicare and special food just normal food we eat will be more than enough due to their Indian DNA adapted for our climate

It's Karnataka state breed mudhol hound.during British time they created in mudhol province ,named mudhol hound.not rajapalyam,chippiparai they are from neighbour state.these are created by Britishers named their ruling province names to these dogs.anyway jai hind jai Karnataka.

These mudhol or caravan hounds were denied for being used in the army because they are sight- hounds. They sniffing power isn't much, which is a need for any army dog breed. I think we as Indians, should think about developing a new breed from mudhol hounds, who can have a better sense of smell. Just like how the breed German Shepherd was drawn out from belgian malinois..

Mudhol , My home town , feels so proud , we do have these pet dogs everywhere in Mudhol(Taluk), , Galagali is the place in mudhol where wide variety of these dog breeds are nourished. These dogs in our native called as 'Byate Nayi' (Hunting Dogs) .they are basically very smart, athletic,calm and very sharp . In Mudhol ,special Dog event are held every year where these logs participate in multiple events . these dogs were used as primary hunters by Maharaja of Mudhol back in vintage era. etc etc. Feel so proud.

Yeh toh sadha nahi balkey ek pracheen bharat key shikhari dog hai , bahut dangerous dog hai, one man dog hai. It is mentioned in puran ancient folk lore of central & southern India of around 500CE. Even mongols ,huns, and turks used to take this breed to their lands from India such was its popularity . this is killer machine, used to hunt wild boar , wild black bear, indian leopard and even indian cheetah. But it cannot survive in colder places.
